Fell in love with the Roommates's sound back when they release Shaman's Journey on their debut EP back in november. Now the duo is back with minimalistic yet warm, deep and hypnotic rework of Full Reis title track taken from his forthcoming EP on Word Up. 

Word Up Records continues to serve up exciting and essential releases, this time by signing label debutant Fell Reis for this fine five tracker, ‘Cova’.

Europe based Brazilian Fell began his journey as a producer on labels like Senssual and before long found favour with DJs like Luciano, Paco Osuna and Maya Jane Coles. He has been resident DJ at places like Sankeys Ibiza as well as playing all over the island for the likes of Zoo Project and Bora Bora, and this new release is a journey inside his mind that finds him serving up psychedelic feelings, progressive melodies, techno and tech house styles.

Opening the account is ‘Cova,’ a fantastically elastic deep techno trip that has rich bass and soft shakers brushing up with colourful chords that stretch out into the night sky. It’s mind melting stuff that also has a big physical appeal. Remixing is Roommates, two “mysterious entities who met under the full moon.” Together they’ve created a musical trip which combines organic drums and soulful melodies into an airy and plaintive piece that is both emotive with lingering pianos, but also decidedly driven. 

Then comes the brain-frying ‘Divergent’, a track littered with pixelated melodies and big wooden hits. It soars into the night on a dramatic groove and explodes with colour at regular intervals, and is therefore sure to make a big impact in any set. ‘MonkDance’ then twists and turns with more turbulent drums and chattery claps. A lithe synth line runs up the middle and more great tension comes from an epic breakdown that will take clubs by storm. 

Last of all, ‘Sandstorm’ featuring Natty Fensie is an electric cut that is about big, bouncy beats, synapse firing stabs and raw claps that bring real energy to the groove. 

This is a sizzling EP filled with colourful and creative techno sounds.

Smooth, suggestive deep techno signed Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory. Out this friday on recently launched Belgian label / club night DEPTH.

For its second release, Depth gives voice to the rising Italian talent Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory who strikes again with a new amazingly crafted four-track EP.

"Nocturnal" is composed by 4 straight up rhythmical and yet subtly sophisticated compositions whose master ingredients are a compelling and percussive groove enhanced by artful waves of arpeggios and punctuated by dramatic and atmospheric breakdowns.

Opening the journey, "Revenge" features an outstanding combination of kicking afro-spirited percussions and clattering synths to create a powerful robotic and hypnotic tempo. Picking up the pace, the title track and Night Shadows both develop multiple

layers of synth chords and textures married with a catchy pulsating drum pattern and suggestive haunting vocal samples. The closing chapter driven by a whirling beat echoes the inspirational force of telluric spirits at dusk. Deep into the darkness, but without desperately sinking into its gloomy sides.

No doubt that with this last opus, Ivory singles out again with a unique and vivid display of both smart and emotional dancefloor-orientated soundscape.

Very excited to premiere this deep to progressive remix by our Brazilian friend Danilo Morttagua. It's an all-Brazilian affair where there Rio De Janeiro producers Fer J, Vkira and Morttagua collaborate on this forthcoming release on UK label Landscapes music. Out monday! 

There is no such a beautiful moment when you close your eyes and imagine yourself enjoying the underground progressive vibes kissed by the morning sunshine. With our 7th release, we have had the pleasure to welcome back a solid reality of the Progressive scene, like Fer J, who teamed up this time with his Brazilian fellow Vkira to deliver another beautiful music gem.

The original mix of "Essencia" intros with a soft, delicate and marvellous spacey progressive groove: as the lust for the beats become more and more intense, the morning sunlight will make your sight blurring right across the main breakdown. Dim memories from the golden age of Progressive will now surface as the track drives you towards the second breakdown.

An outstanding journey which has been then remodelled by the hands of a true solid Progressive craftsman such as Morttagua: he applied what is his unique sound trademark by pushing up the bar to a new level. Filthy groove, warm and crisp sound design along with intense ever growing melodic textures to add a solid character to the tune; summoning vocals will guide you through the second half of the track, in which the dim memories have now become a solide reality. An outstanding example of music journey seen from the eyes of a music veteran who never lost the way when it comes to music making.
Should all of that not be enough, Fer J personally took care of the B Side by delivering another music gems that combines the ethereal atmospheres of the Progressive with a modern groove concept: gentle piano notes will enlighten the sky as the night comes and will let you feel the undefined "Whispers in The Mist".

Marseille-based @alaixpulse unveils Moaï, the first single of his forthcoming 6-track EP due for release this summer on @krooks-amsterdam, provided with a hefty & iconic remix by the great @san-miguel-berlin. Fascinated by African rhythms and heavily influenced by 90ies pop-rock culture, Alaix Pulse has been able to convey emotion and feelings with music. Been in love with Britta Arnold & Unders since I first caught one of their 3 hour sets at the Fusion Festival.  When the duo takes on a remix work for Nico Stojan (whos 2015 Twisted Manners is by the way one of best deep house albums of the decade) nothing but magic can happen. Here is the sun-kissed lazy 9 minute long Sunday track to make your summer even more complete.

Kindisch welcome back Berlin based Nico Stojan for a new EP that features famed French vocalist JAW, with remixes from NU and Britta Unders.  The track was originally written and produced by the pair for a good friend, Odette, who turned 30 years old, and as such has a personal feel from the off. 

Stojan is a globally recognised artist who has played at key clubs and festivals for years, as well as releasing on top labels like this one, Upon.You, Highgrade and many others, while JAW is most famous for his ties to French outfit dOP and for his libidinous vocal contributions to many great dance tracks. 

In original form, ‘OD 30’ is a deep and tender number with soft drums gently underlapping as thoughtful chords and cuddly bass flesh out the groove. JAW’s dreamy vocals are heartfelt amongst twinkling keys, and the whole thing is a soothing and succulent offering for more intimate dancefloors. 

As well as a short radio edit and a balearic tinged acoustic number that is perfectly organic, we have the inviting NU remix which slows things right down to a late night lullaby where the synths are allowed to shine and the groove sinks you into a relaxing slumber. In addition, Britta Unders spends nine minutes layering up gentle synths, subtle percussion and warming chords into a hypnotic reworking that really carries you away into the starry night. 

This is a fantastic package featuring truly emotional grooves that will make any dance floor take note.

Italian producer Veerus returns to Kittball with a moody three track release titled ‘Organum’ this June.

‘Organum’ sees Veerus move towards a darker direction, combining moody stabs with ominous atmospherics for a dusky roller produced with the dancefloor in mind. Maintaining a euphoric aura throughout, ‘Arp’ earns its names from its raucous arpeggios that generate a heightening suspense whilst subtle notes operate in the background, before ‘Mummy’ concludes the package with tantalising melodies and powerful synths.

Guy Mantzur's PlattenBank is back with an an amazing collaboration from Eitan Reiter & Muzarco, which includes vocals from Omri Klein. 

Eitan Reiter is from Israel and works with the likes of Sebastian Mulleart, as well as being one half of electronic pair LOUD. He makes tech, ambient, techno and plenty in between. Muzarco also hails from Israel and is know for his warm, colour sounds on labels like Lost & Found and many others. Here they link up to great effect. 

Oh Death's Dub , is a almost a 10 minute roller with subtle pads, icy hi hats and a soothing, hypnotic feel that really sinks you into a warm groove. Amazing heady stuff for the dancefloor.  Enjoy

After nearly a decade of producing music as SQL, Pim van Horssen’s often turbulent but exciting journey both across the world and deep inside himself has led to a crossroads. The idea of quitting or starting over was something that crossed his mind many times; but after moments of despair he always managed to rediscover his love of music on some dancefloor somewhere, reuniting his passion and leading to this year’s long-awaited release of his debut album, the eponymously entitled SEQUEL.

“Sequel is about rebirth. It’s the culmination of everything I have loved, lost, learned and experienced in the last 10 years as a musician,” he says. “This cycle is the only constant factor in my music and my career, and by learning to accept it, I've come to terms with the music I make. This album is a reflection of who I am right now at this moment. It’s me, no compromise.” 

Embracing a fresh approach that combines the use of numerous pieces of analogue gear and recording his own samples in the field, the album represents the new sound of SQL in its purest form.
“I used to make more minimalistic techno and very computer-based music, but in the last few years I’ve found a more crafty, collage way of writing music.

“Most of the tracks on the album started out as jams. I put down about 50 jams last year and collected all the raw, recorded material, which I then used as a library of sounds to make the album.
“Some of the tracks on the album are a collage of three or more of those original jams.”
The end result is something truly special - a diverse and immersive album that channels the raw emotion and experience of the man behind it.

The mind is a constant theme throughout, from the opening track Metanoia, about what it is like to rebuild the mind after a mental breakdown; to the deeply personal Melancholia, dedicated to two friends lost to suicide; or the space-age ambience of the closing tune, Sound Mental State. 
But fear not, there is plenty of light too including the playful Meraki, the acid groove of 11th Hour, the minimalistic weirdness of Immersion and the warm groove of Petrichor.

Release Info: 
The final act unfolds. Chapter 24 serves up a powerful 13 track album that finds a wealth of originals from Masaya’s debut, Picking Up The Pieces, getting the Editions treatment by top artists including Ripperton, Petar Dundov, Patrice Baumel, Johannes Brecht and many more. They make for essential listening. 

First out of the bag, Kurt Baggaley flips Walking Dad into a deep spine tingling number that will infuse and fill the dance floor with warmth and soul. Love over Entropy’s take on Haumea is deep but more driving, with slick synth modulations colouring the grooves, then Swiss master Ripperton builds lots of tension with his brooding techno remix of Flow of Tears. 

As well as a starry and cosmic Edition from Nhar, a tense and edgy take from Neil Flynn and a melodically excellent variation from Croatian Petar Dundov, the album includes a slow and haunting rework from David Durango and a skittish, broken beat kicker from Patlac.

The final third of the collection hones in on simmering techno from Johannes Brecht, a loose house roller from VVerses and masterfully seductive and steamy tech house from Patrice Baumel. Closing things out in fitting style are a rumbling epic from Malbetrieb and THC, and Paul Nolan’s delicate take on Time Goes Fast.

These works all breathe plenty of new life into the still standout originals from the Swiss Chilean artist and are sure to do plenty of damage on the dancefloor this summer. The 24th Chapter is at last revealed in full.

Sweden’s Bambook deliver their new EP entitled, ‘Give it up’ via Faceless Recordings this June, featuring remixes from Audiofly, Quina, and Cali Lanauze & Flavio Acaron.

Since 2011, Bambook have been pushing their signature sound to the forefront of the house scene through releases on Culprit and Noir music, here following the release of the original release of ‘Give It Up’ on Faceless Recordings back in 2014, Bambook provide a newer interpretation of the track with remixes from label mates.

The EP begins with Bambook’s new interpretation of ‘Give It Up’, incorporating a pulsating kick drum and a heady synth line, accompanied by murky vocal murmurs. Drifting synths lay at the forefront of highly respected DJ’s and producers Audiofly’s remix as they meander through organic percussions and a twisted warped bass line.

Quina’s abstract rework of ‘Give It Up’ follows and is filled with resonant bleeps and glistening chords, which are then met with a minor keyed melody to add to its shadowy atmosphere. Cali Lanauze & Flavio Acaron’s remix then concludes the album with a bouncy melody, gentle piano progressions and reverberated chants.

The Bambook remix package of ‘Give it up’ drops on Faceless Recordings on 3rd July,
