'Madman is the new musical travel by the young duo Depart, from Istanbul. This track has been made during a night walk along the beach of Izmir in Turkey, a walk toward balance and inner readjustment. At that time the singer of the duo had reached a point where he was feeling stuck in his life to the extent of madness: « scraping his scars just to feel alive ».

The best remedy to this situation was to put it into words. He, thus, decided to impersonate his own role in the song and call himself a Madman as a representation of all the frustration and weight he was carrying away on his shoulders.

This record is for everyone feeling stranded in their life, it’s about accepting vulnerability instead of stiffness, it’s about embracing your inner self, in the ups as in the lows, instead of fighting it. This record means a lot to the duo as it helped them going through that rough time, they hope this will now help many more people who are facing the same obstacles in their reality.

The EP comes with a hypnotic and high percussive reinterpretation from dOP, a mesmerizing down tempo remix from Moon’s Voyager and a stellar deep house remix from the Birds of Mind.

'Ghenwa Nemnom is a Lebanese musician who blends her classically trained musicianship with electronic sounds to create organic house tracks that have been released on labels such as YION, Melody of the Soul, Café De Anatolia and Alt Orient.

Her latest release is also the launch of her own record label Astarte and along with her cinematic original track, it also features a remix by Chris Zippel who is known for his uplifting style of melodic house.

Chris Zippel is a Berlin born producer who also spends a lot of time in Ibiza. He is a respected studio producer whose worked with everyone from the Pet Shop Boys to Steve Lawler and featured on a diverse range of labels including Mango Alley, Embassy One and Tresor.

The original mix of "Story of a Battle" is a majestic electronica track that blends traditional oriental instruments with an electronic section, introducing a throbbing synth bass and sequenced percussion. The track tells a dramatic story of life battles, and precisely, the biggest one of them all, the battle with ourselves, the battle within.

Chris Zippel transforms Story of a Battle with a percussive remix that layers the original's orchestral elements with electronic beats and captivating synths. Adding uplifting pads and his own spine-tingling melodies, he captures the emotion of the original. Lifting things up a gear after the main breakdown, his rework has a smouldering heat that's perfect for the dance floor.'

'The Dutch upcoming artist Colyn (@colynmusic) is the one who puts a stamp on the third EP of Infinite Depth. With two spacey and great mixed originals he laid more than a good foundation for the remixers. The title track ‘Passengers’ got remixed by the French brothers Esoteric Circle (@esotericircle) and the second original ‘Orbital Hypnosis’ got infused by the one and only Erly Tepshi (@erlyofficial).  

With the first track ‘Passengers’ the EP immediately starts off pretty determined. Soon the firm kick gets accompanied by a some pounding drums and well placed spacey synths, sounding like passengers finding their way through our universe chased by those thrilling drum sounds. 

Esoteric Circle managed to take the thrilling part of the original to a higher level with their remix. The spacey synths are making place for an appealing melody which increases the tension. This tension holds on till the very end of the track.

After being in a continuous state of space and tenseness the third track ‘Orbital Hypnosis’ adds some euphory. With its compelling break and hypnotical plucks it keeps you in a higher state of mind.  

Erly Tepshi’s remix takes you even a little bit higher by using this compelling melody as main flow through his remix. Only this flow makes some unexpected changes at the points Erly injected his typical, sometimes even distorted, plucked synths. With a heavy a breakdown almost at the end of the track this remix brings the EP to an end.'

YokoO - Vujaday Festival 2019 X When We Dip

'Returning to Sprout is the amazing Marcus Meinhardt with Rabbit Hole featuring a classy remix from Stereo Express. 

Ever the musical butterfly, Meinhardt makes music that defies genre classification and oozes sophistication. Signed to a disparate array of labels from Kittball to Micro.Fon, he's always in the boxes of the big ticket DJs and never fails to impress. 'Rabbit Hole' opens in fine form with sparse percussion and a bubbling bass line making way for intricate melodic patterns. Growing organically tension builds towards the break with Vangelis-like layers of synthwork adding a futuristic 80s feel. On the remix, Stereo Express take it deeper teasing out the main motifs over two breaks which develops into a monster mid-set groover.'

'One year after their first release on Family Piknik Music ('The Ancient One’), French duo ABSTRAAL is back with a massive dancefloor weapon. 'Broken Smiles’ is a team work with famous german pair TEENAGE MUTANTS (Stil vor Talent, Terminal M...) and French songwriter / singer JIM (known for his vocal collaborations with LKF Project released on Bog & Agoria’s labels).

Abstraal has grown a lot these past months through many collaborations, releases and remixes. Building a solid profile, the boys have caught the attention of many playlist diggers, labels and A-list DJs. Hot from their recent remix for Outcome and their strong collaboration with Pontias on Jannowitz Records, Abstraal is now ready to deliver his strongest release to date.

Broken Smiles’s original version is a modern crossover Dance anthem with a minimal approach, sparkling synths and a dark atmosphere turning into an epic odyssey after the break. Vocals are perfectly dived into this moody instrumental, while trancy synths progressively add a bit of tension. Teenage Mutants own rework offer a totally different energy, somewhere between Detroit Techno and Chicago House, with an addictive old-school organ hook as key element. 5 stars remix is delivered by French techno master Popof. Form music label boss and experimented producer-remixer (from Hot Chip & Chemical Brothers to Umek, Julian Jeweil, Robert Babicz and many others) showcases his best Acid influences with a driving techno treatment and a mind-blowing atmosphere during the break. Tension is absolutely mad and these synth notes will have many ravers losing their mind for sure. Here’s an other monster remix from this living legend ! Justin Cholewski is also part of this massive release. After his brillant remix for Patrick Topping & Kevin Saunderson (Armada), Lithuanian producer drops a fat kick before playing with dramatic synths and developing a wild and rolling acid-techno monster.

The EP ends with an alternative version produced by JIM himself. French singer offers an alternative indie- dance rework he has produced as part of Wet Sunset, one of his latest musical projects. Very different from the other remixes, this version takes us on a musical road-trip, full of surprises. An oriental flute answers to some raw synths and post-disco drums, balancing with the vocal elements from the original cut.'
