Stretching back 20+ years, his career in dance music counts a long standing relationship with Belgium's legendary Music Man Records where he released many singles & albums and more recently with Marc Romboy's @systematicrecordings, @proton Music, & the excellent @renaissance-recordings, amongst many more. Hailing from lovely Croatia, delivering a superb dark, driving, scintillating 90 minute journey, we are pleased to welcome Petar Dundov as our 141st podcast guest.

To Dundov, “techno is music that precedes movement. It is dance music, solid enough to carry emotions through the dance floor and abstract enough to be a template for ever”. And indeed his breathtaking productions embody this ethos, serving the inherent function of making your body pulse spontaneously while also challenging your brain with its complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions.

Although maybe the word “techno” doesn’t give enough detail about his style, it’s probably the nearest ballpark to whose principles his music adheres – and he is keen to expand the horizons of what people know and expect of the genre. But it’s that sense of his tracks being alive, forever evolving and expanding and increasing in intensity, which gives his music its unique sound and has seen his work crossover into a myriad of different areas of the global electronic music scene. 

His music shows you that he’s a producer with more than churning out mindless, functional and dispensable drivel on his mind. There’s a philosophy entrenched in his productions that breathes the very spirit of life and dynamism into them: “My ultimate goal as a producer and musician is to bridge the world of inspiration and physical world to the extent where the listener wouldn't be able to distinguish between the two. Music has this unique property to communicate deep emotions that are inherently in all of us. We just forgot how to use them, and my search is an attempt to revive those emotions where we all resonate as one.”

Born in Zagreb in the early ‘70s, his career in dance music stretches back the best part of 20 years. He counts a longstanding relationship with Belgium’s legendary Music Man records where he released many singles and albums and more recently with Marc Romboy's Systematic Recordings & the excellent Renaissance Records, amongst many others.

The internet became a real place on 02.07. The virtual and individually immersive brand of Anomaly Radio materialised into the reality of the Sisyphos dancefloor. From 8am to 10pm the Berlin sun shone, the obscure melodies played and the kinetic bodies moved. We were lucky to record 10 out of the 16 hours of music from the day. 

Enticing us to create an online space that infuses the tangible with the digital; Anomaly Live. A place where we will release exclusive sets from Anomaly takeovers or shows from around the world. AL will also share recordings from our favourite artists at clubs and festivals. 

Installment #1 is courtesy of Anomaly Radio co-founder, Harry Hooper. (nothing like nepotism to get balls rolling). 3 dynamic hours of deep house coolly spun with indie dance and melodic techno. We’re broadcasting the humble eccentricity that is Sisyphos through Anomaly air waves.

I like to play many styles of music, each genre touches my senses in a unique way. However Progressive will always be my number one. No matter when, when I play on the fly, I always end up with proggy, like karma repeatingly leading me to where I belong. I tremendously enjoyed playing this one.  My chilled mood leading me to choose the right tracks and creating a flow that was very reflective of my mind. Hope you will enjoy, and thatnk you all for the support. Love!

la`too has always had a soft spot for sounds on the border of Indie Dance and Progressive. He loves to manoeuvre between the worlds of melancholic electro and strong and dynamic Dark Disco. He represents the Techno Station collective from Gorzów on a daily basis, and also collaborates as a promoter with German label Artminding and Hungarian label Bemassive Records, among others. 

He is the founder of the MELODIC.DEEP.HOUSE music blog, which was originally designed to promote the local electronic scene beyond the borders of Poland in the form of a podcast series called LOCAL SUPER HEROES. As he himself says, it is his "apple of the eye" and currently features representatives from foreign labels such as Watergate Records, Rebellion der Traumer, and Diynamic Music.
