Nick Scofield is starting to craft a sound of his own. Centered around a backbone of sturdy grooves, he explores realms of melodies both retro and futuristic. With a pair of appearances on our Tales of Romance series, sandwiched between a serene single on Eleatics, Scofield has built a hearty foundation in the early stages of his journey. Signifying a major moment in his artistic endeavours, we are thrilled to host his first full EP on the imprint - Highway 1.

The title track opens electro stabs, resting atop a fruitful blend of punchy kicks and rhythmic percussion. Oldschool guitar riffs enter the fold as we set off on an ever-evolving production. With energy reaching vivacious levels, he offers a pristine dancefloor moment, before firing us right back into the interplanetary groove.

'A firm favourite on the Particles roster, Michael Chihaka has been a regular on the imprint since a debut remixing Aeikus' "Juno" in September 2019. Since then two original EPs have lit up the label with October 2020's "Nyara" and May 2020's "Pinda" showcasing six original tracks and Chihaka's indisputable talent. Since then, remixes for Pole Folder and Ric Niels have shown another side to the South African's talent as he now returns to remix "Go". Creating an exquisite groove that firmly echoes the original, the central motif immediately provides sonic familiarity and cadenced foundation to his rework. A heavy beat and off-beat percussion add rhythmic force and a hypnotic syncopated synth line creates an evolving sound in the third movement.

Through a powerful musical narrative, about : river has hit new heights with his "Go Into the Mist" EP, richly complemented by Dandara and Chihaka.'

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Abity to the label for their debut EP entitled Memories'. Hailing from Argentina, Jóse Duque and Bruno Signorelli make up the Abity production team. The Rosario natives have been collaborating and creating their brand of progressive music for over a decade. Laying claim to a discography of close to 150 credits, the Nick Warren favourites have showcased their music via Antrim's Or Two Strangers, 3rd Avenue, Soundteller Records and Stellar Fountain. Now in a year which has seen just one new project, Abity debuts on Dopamine White with a three-track artist showcase.

Abity's penchant for progressive minded music continues to evolve with the lead track Memories'. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, rolling groove comes pulsating rhythms and finely tuned percussion. Its powerful drive is blanketed with soulful vocal pads and clusters of timely effects. Quirky arps and harmonic overlays add depth and colour across the first act, resulting in an otherworldly feel. The second of two breaks proves impactful, gracefully melting down to impassioned vocal phrasing and hopeful atmospherics, before a rush of beats ushers in a driving finale.

The journey continues with the deep, chugging vibes of Deceptive River''. Immediately captivating, it's timeless chord stabs and subterranean groove make for a stellar beginning. Firing percussion and effervescent effects play off the muscular low end, making for an irresistible vibe leading into the break. Short but impactful, the interlude builds tension through rising modulation, before smoothly transitioning into a finale of esoteric chord changes and glowing overlays.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the nostalgic qualities of Injection'. Beginning with perfectly sculpted beats and a wide array of electronic meanderings, it's a compelling creation from the start. Warm atmospheres and bubbly arps gently encase the framework, as charged rhythms drive momentum forward. Airy atmospherics trail across the backdrop, building emotion with each successive loop, before a timely break resets the groove for a stirring finale. It rounds out what is an inspired collection of music from Abity, who continue to be one of Argentina's most beloved progressive house acts.

'From A Ripple To A Wave' has got a crossover indie breaks kinda vibe going on, which in combination with Melatron's vocals has resulted in a truly unique and stand out piece of electronic music. It comes in the original full length version as well as a radio / streaming friendly edit and a laid back 'sunrise' version.

Being the super productive producer Audioglider is, we've decided to add not one, not two but three fresh originals to the release, making this whole EP a rather exciting listening experience. 'Supacwtch', 'A Month Of Sundays' and 'Fire Sun' take you on a journey into melodic house, broken beats and laid back indie electronica.
