Colombian DJ and producer, Jholeyson makes his debut on Pirate Copy’s Kaluki Musik this autumn with his brand new, ‘Fandwich’ EP. He has always been surrounded by a whole host of different musical genres but at age 15 he found his love for Electronic music and has been hooked ever since.

Since starting DJ’ing in 2012, Jholeyson has gone on to play at some impressive venues on the Ecuadorian and Colombian club scene including Mowl Club, Sugar House and The Zoo Festival, and since turning his hand to producing in 2015, he’s released on lauded labels; Sola Nauts, Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, Rawthentic, Sanity and recently founded own imprint, Sticker Music.

The ‘Fandwich’ EP showcases Jholeyson’s signature music style with local influences and Latin inspired rhythms, infectious basslines, hip-swinging drums and grooving low-end with nods to reggae, Hip Hop and Salsa throughout.

First up is Peruvian Ammo Avenue, one of house music's most exciting newcomers and someone whose tunes have been played by tastemakers such as Eats Everything, Latmun and Solardo. He impresses again here with the freaky 'Enjoy Yourself', a raw and atmospheric house sound with whispered female vocals luring you in close before a paranoid synth lead breaks out. The stripped-back drums keep you locked before a second, brain-frying synth line burrows deep.'
