For a second time this year, Mat.Joe land on Moon Harbour with club-ready brilliance, this time in collaboration with Otistic and C'Mon. 'Sunday Noise makes his debut up on Steve Lawler’s VIVa LiMITED label with ‘Un Poco Mas Duro’ EP.

Sunday Noise, Rodrigo Carranza, is the 20 year old DJ/Producer born, raised and based in Peru. He is fast becoming a rising talent to watch out for within the electronic music scene in South America and beyond. 

An impressive run of releases to date on labels including La Pera Records, Muse, Nervous Records, Avotre and Glasgow Underground have pathed the way for his impressive debut release with VIVa. 

It’s not just the notable roster of labels that have been showcasing his music, further backing comes from an impressive who’s who of names lighting up dancefloors around the world. Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Nic Fanciulli, Yaya, wAFF, Richy Ahmed, Michael Bibi, Jamie Jones have all shown support for the Peruvians productions.

Opener and title track ‘Un Poco Mas Duro’ is an all-out peak time rolling tech house assault on the sound system and on the dancefloor. Driving basslines paired with pumping percussion ensure this one is absolutely rocking from open to close.

Keeping the energy moving, ‘Everyman’ leads with tribal influenced percussion showing a deeper tech influence within Sundays sound. Male rap vocals lead with authority highlighting the producers ambition to cross genres and experiment to keep his style evolving and developing. 

Closing out the EP, tracks ‘Something That I Can’t Explain’ featuring Paul Trelles and ‘Ahora’ featuring David Ink, sees Sunday inviting two fellow Peruvians to the release showcasing that the Peruvian sound and scene is one to keep a close eye on with some real emerging talent coming through thick and fast.

Paul C & Paolo Martini continue a rich history with Moon Harbour as they serve up the superb new single 'Wakan.' 'Wakan' is muscular tech house with a bassline that will rattle the walls of any club. Up top, the groove is driving and detailed, with trippy melodies, clipped vocals and razor-sharp hi-hats. It builds the tension to start with before the vocals burst out next to colourful trumpets and even bigger bass.

EP opener ‘Don’t Tell’ sees once again Ammo’s love for bass-like sounds and stomping beats, creating this unique record filled with swinging drums. As we continue the journey with ‘Vice Versa’ which fuses the 303 acid vibe with 80’s style percussions and contagious vocal grooves. This call / response mix of sounds creates a continuous rise in the mood of the track, managing to get the temperature high on any dance floor. Next comes ‘Yessir’ which cleverly layers a dope horn-like sample through the tune, adding some dark hypnotic vocals to create a magnificent contrast. Razor sharp drums and percs are the perfect match for this one.

Closing out the EP, house music heavyweight Max Chapman joins the party jumping in on remix duties for title track ‘Vice Versa’ with his ‘1990 Mix’. “Break it Down” vocals hit “Bringing the Beat Back” with his 90’s infused driving bassline with one purpose and one purpose only, to fill dancefloors across the globe.
