Raxon is at the forefront of the melodic techno scene thanks to always well-designed sounds on Diynamic, Kompakt, Cocoon and more. As a DJ, too, he explores an interplanetary sound that has seen him on the billing at influential festivals and clubs worldwide, from DGTL to Resistance Ibiza at Privilege.

He opens this one with the superb 'Input Robot,' a jostling broken techno groove laced up with sleek cosmic chords. Alien life forms live between the beats, and the elastic bass keeps you moving as the track rolls on through a turbulent night sky.

Then comes 'Mantis,' a terrifically twitchy and astral track. Robot vocals are stitched into the mix with turbo-charged synths and a looping bassline over heavy drums. It's the sound of intergalactic warfare with a real sense of electronic funk and cinematic design.

The ‘Input Robot EP’ is another innovative techno exploration from Raxon.

Pascal Terstappen is set to release his sixth studio album as @applescal, titled Diamond Skies. The nine-tracker is released on May 29 through his own label Atomnation.

Diamond Skies can be seen as the follow-up of 2013's Dreaming In Key LP, the album that laid the foundation for the Atomnation universe that Terstappen has cultivated over the past eight years. This new album sounds lush, colorful and energetic. It features tracks that meander through ambient and melodic house genres, occasionally surprising the listener with a lost breakbeat.

The variety in melodies, soundscapes, and emotion clearly leaves enough room in the dreamworld of Applescal's music. The album sounds free and brings back a certain mystery to dance music, which in today’s world can sometimes feel grey and designed for utility in big rooms. Applescal shows the very opposite on Diamond Skies, and exemplifies the vibrant, introspective Atomnation sound.

Diamond Skies was recorded in 2019 and early 2020. The last bits were finished in the early days of March, during disturbed times. We chose to announce the album as soon as possible as we felt it had to be released in the very now. To set an example for creative optimism. To come up with something to look forward to. To do what we always do.

'After holding a number one position in the Beatport Top 100 Leftfield House and Techno tracks for quite a while, Art Was Art returns with a quantum leap in the studio ventures. This time his production focuses on the core elements where effect processors take a significant role in the arrangement. However, the main difference between Art's previous works and the new release is the lyrical approach. The verses deliver a dystopian theme, directly influenced by the literary genius George Orwell. Still, the spoken words don't just reflect on existing motifs from the book 1984. They draw a parallel with contemporary society in general. 

Orwellian Nightmares is everything but ordinary! It is a social commentary, unburdened by the judgment or the elitist attitude. At the same time, it's powered by the powerful sub-bass and the heavily processed drum section, making even the instrumental version of the twentieth release of the Munich-based label ZEN DNA outstanding.'
