'Dan and Dan are DJ and producer duo Daniel Bumby and Dan Seaman. Due to their unique deep progressive and techno sound, it is only fitting that their home base is the magical island of Ibiza. The island's influence can be heard in their upbeat and energetic sound, putting together clever synth patterns and hypnotic baselines to create tracks that are uniquely their own. Premiere: Dan & Dan - Sugarloaf Mountain [Pangea]

'2XM deliver 'Floating Desire / Between Spaces' via London's Eton Messy Records this December, featuring two originals from the hotly tipped duo.

Recent times have seen 2XM unveil a string of material via the likes of Russian imprint Sengiley and GLBDOM amongst forthcoming material on Svnset Waves and other self- released material. Here though we see the pair deliver their latest two-track project via Eton Messy Records, the YouTube channel turned record label which has played host to material from the likes of DJ Counselling and Sly One amongst others.

Up first on the package is the cinematic 'Floating Desire', laid out over six minutes with bumpy 2-step drums, intricately evolving sub bass tones and ethereal atmospherics at its core. Further emotive touches come via an amalgamation of hypnotic vocal hooks and twinkling keys which ebb and flow their way throughout the composition.

'Between Spaces' follows next, this time round tipping the focus over to classic deep house tropes. Employing organic percussion and choppy bass stabs to fuel the groove while warm chord sequences, plucked synths, acid licks and delayed keys keep things dynamically evolving.'

Premiere: 2XM - Floating Desire [Eton Messy Records]

'11th December 2020 sees the rising South African house DJ/producer Blanka Mazimela release his debut ‘Gengesi’ EP featuring the talented Zimbabwe-born UK-based singer Oluhle on Shimza’s new label, Kunye.  
 
Blanka Mazimela is one of South Africa’s finest rising talents to come out of dance music’s thriving afro-house scene within recent years. His unique sound has garnered much attention throughout Europe and beyond owing to his ongoing relationship with Germany’s revered Get Physical Music who most recently commissioned Mazimela to compile and mix their Africa Gets Physical Vol.3 compilation and have previously released his acclaimed EPs ‘Mpisi’ and ‘Ziduli Zetafa’ plus single ‘Phezulu’.  
 
The gifted Johannesburg based creative also features as one of the lead artists and producers of the Bantwanas (a collective of African producers, songwriters and musicians) and is the proud Head of Department for Soul Candi’s Institute of Music, South Africa’s most distributed music production course.  
 
With all of this experience under his belt, Mazimela is back with one of his best releases to date, an essential 3-track offering on Kunye - an exciting new label set-up by the afro house hero Shimza to showcase South African talent to a European audience. 
 
The EP’s title track ‘Gengesi’ kicks things off boasting a mesmerizing tribal groove that encompasses descending marimba melodies, dramatic sound effects and arpeggiated synth elements to perfectly underpin the outstanding vocal performance provided by the talented Zimbabwe-born UK-based singer, Oluhle.  
 
Next, Mazimela delivers yet another stunning dancefloor-ready offering this time in the form of ‘Normli’, a powerful energy-laced afro-tech workout which incorporates a heavy electro-tinged bassline, a driving rhythm and lush breakdown chords to continue the release in style. 
 
Last but not least, the respected Hungarian DJ/producer Sobek delivers his unique twist on ‘Gengesi’, opting to keep the original’s key elements but add an abundance of techy chord stabs, housey percussion and warp sound effects to create a slightly edgier afro-tech affair.

Lindahl returns back on Somatic with his stunning EP 'Audara' after featuring on the release Underground Frequencies back in 2019!

Producer-DJ-Artist Lindahl, is a Swedish-Irish producer, born in Spain, Lindahl encompasses a melting pot of cultures, infused into one artist. Currently based in Berlin and working from Riverside Studios - He has been hard at work with vocalist KOKA on her solo project whilst creating the beautiful lead track Audara with lyrics infused in English & Albanian.

With the primary focus of Lindahl's music lying in the realm of positive emotions and unification, he has brought these themes to light through the selection of warm sounds and musical moods with his track Vonur.

On remix duties we are really happy to welcome a force on the scene by the name of UNDERHER to remix Audara. Now among one of the most successful Tunisian and Canadian electronic acts over the the last couple of years, Having released with artist such as Moby, Books Shade, U2, Maya Jane Coles and many others he has created a much deeper, more hypnotic feel to Audara.

Also on Somatic is one of the most exciting young talents to emerge in 2020 on our label is Italian Temperat - who has turned Audara into grooving melodic techno rollercoaster, fusing chord stabs with string ensembles and clinical percussion with a beautiful driving lead line.
