I recorded these, using only the Roland T8 drum machine, outside as it got dark.
The first one I did at the beach in Crete (130 bpm) and the second one, a week later, in a park in Vienna (120bpm).
These spontaneous sessions are so much fun, specially at such beautiful places.

Title track Bagkat summons a tribal excursion into South African rhythms, dialing into a rhythmic mysticism by layering exotic percussions and nostalgic vocals. And impending sense of tension and release stirs up a constant excitement, a sonic trait that transcends onto the second cut. 

Yenboo strikes out as an inherently heady, intense slice, with a bubbling energy and sweeping drive. Indigenous elements are omnipresent, soothing yet stirring in an array of harmonic invocation.

For their  30th release ATLANT returns to Caserta in the Campania region of Italy, this time calling upon the vast musical talents of Andy Bros. Known for his innovative productions brimming with rich tones and textures, the three originals we present showcase a dance-floor focused approach that has seen Andy become an important mainstay for Diynamic Music.

Lead cut 'Over The Wall' combines a focused semi-tribal groove with intense shuddering bass pulses and an infectious chordal theme that really gets inside your mind. Adorned with layers of ethereal synths you can imagine yourself dancing on the deck of a sailboat with the bass under your feet and sea breeze touching your fingers ... melodies piercing the air while you bask in the warm glow of a setting sun.

Title track 'Back To The World' places a keen emphasis on groove, with its low slung bassline, rolling piano and a dramatic joyous theme creating the purest of club moments. There is a real sense of freedom here. 'Back To The World' isn't constrained by the chains of genres and is one of those tracks that can be played in any country, to open ears and minds.

Closing out the EP 'Coming To You' is an assault on the senses, that really highlights Andy's skills as a producer and sound engineer. Crashing retro percussion leads to a swirling arpeggiated hook underpinned by layer upon layer of elegant synthesizers and monumental chords. One of those euphoric late set gems with rising lines that will last long in the memory.

With mad scattered tribal percussion, Maasai is a slow-burner, resting itself on the precipice of a mountainous drop and forcing you to stare into the bubbling abyss below. Pleas and exhortations whirl through the air, panoptic chords sweep through your vision, and you are falling. With each kick drum, Maasai reaches a new depth of subterranea, until you are firmly in the grip of the underground system.

The main feeling you take away from the Maasai EP is one of adventure not usually found in electronic music, of being guided somewhere - somewhere better - by invisible forces. And maybe there's a parallel with the thousands of disadvantaged people who, because of this revolutionary record label, are now experiencing aid, however minor it may be. Mess is Lore starts off with a strong but deep kick and poignant HH's accompanied by a constant mesmerizing bassline. Diverse sound FX, percussive FX and layered shakers determine the groove, moving the track forward. Deep and growling saw synths as well as atmosperic pads and vocals progress in their up and downs nicely to give the track its tension and character. The break is filled with pad progressions that let the listener float trough space and time. Mess is Lore then intensifies for one more peak and lets you drift off..

Mess is Lore is the perfect track opener or closer for your Afro House or Afro inspired Progressive House set.

His second track is called 'Midnight and Mind' which again kicks off with a powerful deep kick flagged by diverse percussive elements and high and low shakers. Deep ambient synth work and melodic synth progression build the track up, interrupted by percussive impacts, Fx and vocal chants. This second epic song with a strong and powerful break made with heavy saws and synths will set your mind in a trance like state where you can just let go of all inhibtions and swirl around that dance floor.

Midnight and Mind a true progressive piece of Afro House music.
