Take Away is very happy to welcome our dear friend, Chilean-based artist Diego Miranda, who returns with a solo EP after featuring a track on one of the imprint's mixed artist compilations.

"Road to Zero" opens the release with its moody atmosphere and building suspense before the Arabic strings and captivating melodies of "Souq Okaz" follow. "Dos Soles" is the last of the three originals and its trippy vocals are fused with ethereal textures and a mystic flute sample.

This pack contains another two beautiful groovy remixes by Erdi Irmak & Greg Ochman.
First of the remixes is Erdi Irmak's rework of Road to Zero which is an uplifting version with added synths, and Greg Ochman closes the release with the tribal percussion of his Souq Okaz remix.

Hicky & Kalo are back on their own label Plaisirs Sonores Records with a brand new two-track EP as well as a brand new artwork design for their imprint.

The title track 'Arch Of Light' is a massive track with driving drums, a rolling bassline, an emotive pad melody and a great arpeggiator. The Canadian duo tries to open the progressive house field by blending some melodic techno and electro elements into the track like the use of vocoder vocals and epic synth stabs.

The second offering 'Time We Spent Together' is an ode to remembering "the time you spent with someone that no long is part of your live". It was made during sad time for the duo and you can feel the melancholia and sadness in the melody.

All in all, it's a beautiful EP for the upcoming duo.

Based in Brazil and firmly entrenched in their country’s progressive music scene; Andre, L Georges and Yudi have all achieved measurable success in their respective careers. A collective discography showcases standout releases via Balkan Connection, Clubsonica, Droid9, Mango Alley and Nature Rec. Also highly regarded amongst the world’s electronic music tastemakers, the Brazilian artists have earned play and support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, with their collaborative project already established with several releases to their credit, Andre, L Georges and Yudi add Deepwibe Underground to their resume with ‘Kamaria’.

With each successive project these three talents seem to build on their creative synergy. Title track ‘Kamara’ lands with a resounding thump as big rolling grooves and wavy arps make for a smooth hip swinging energy. Gentle overlays and subtle plucks advance the narrative, keeping rhythm locked while modulation shifts leading into the break. Emotion peaks here with hopeful pads and glassy clusters uniting in a wave of percussion and noise as the groove re-engages for a thrilling finale.

The companion piece ‘Cepheus’ continues the pure progressive lean with catchy chord stabs and trippy effects blanketing another rocking groove. A touch more introspective than its predecessor, misty sonics and hazy atmospheres provide a colourful backdrop for dancing arps and pristine percussion to drive energy into a melodic break. Grandiose and otherworldly in equal measure, the centrepiece comes straight out of a cinematic score, creating an amazing sense of space and emotion to cap off the release in style. With a few projects under their belts now, André Moret, L Georges and Yudi Watanabe continue to impress with their ‘Kamaria’ EP, which lands as perhaps their finest work to date. Highly recommended.
