'A new original track plus superb remix from Kobana sees plain sailing on Dmitry Molosh's 'River Pond'.

A single remix comes from legendary producer, Kobana. A veteran of the progressive house scene, the Polish artist has been involved in the dance music industry for some 15 years. Initially with Mario Hatchet and Yane3dots, an array of tracks found their way onto the likes of Silk Music, Sick Watona and Particles as Kobana's reputation grew steadily. Always a favourite among the Proton Music faithful, some 50 production credits have graced the label, not least in June 2014's full-length album, "The Riddle". Further original EPs followed in the shape of 2015's "Freefall" and 2016, "Boyhood", before September 2021 saw Kobana return with the sparkling "Light Flooding". A smattering of remixes for the likes of DNYO, Tvardovsky and Golan Zocher and Eric Lune have acted as companions to the array of original music, as Kobana now reinterprets "River Pond" with typical aplomb.'

The new EP on Saturn Return is produced by Rowee and Nuiton and is a quality piece of music. ‘Lost Forest’ is a surreal march through a range of metaphorical textures. Endless permutations of rhythm, beat, percussion and a caustic voice are the main elements for more than 10 minutes. An additional acid synth finally emerges, breaking the rules of the beat. It’s romantic, hypnotic and strikes the perfect balance between angular rhythms and dreamy melodies. ‘Description of a Dream’ exudes ethereal patterns and nature like sounds. The prominent bassline includes plenty of water drops and build ups... this track seems to stretch out endlessly into the distance.

DHB Premiere: Mark Slee - Rosehips (Jayden Klight Remix) [Magician On Duty]

The latest installment in the Saturn Return release schedule sees the Canadian duo Beije make their debut on the label. 

"Pacifica" is a pearl set in the sea, the musical direction is a shades of emotional new-gen house music, introspective with epic vibes and heady clubbish euphoria. Beije, the Canadian duo, have defied this new style venturing into deeper waters in order to explore new form of sounds. 

However, It’s clearly something they are adept at exploring together.

Capoon made a linear remix with a captivating rhythm, the Belgian producer creating an instantly recognizable sound of himself. First dazzles you with its nimble hand percussion, but then, a bleating synth note comes in where violins wrap around rollicking hand drums and breathy grunts.

"Inanna" cranks up the intensity by zooming in on the chord stabs. The tension gets strong with the bassline groove and a dazed melody that captures the brilliance of this EP.
