'Already an iconic figure in the underground dance fraternity, Dmitry Molosh now takes another leap forward with the creation of his Proportion record label. Created as vehicle to showcase the Belarusian’s extraordinary talent alongside an array of high-profile and rising names, Proportion launches with an eponymously titled EP with an original track from Dmitry himself plus a remix from Finnish legend, Cid Inc.

Dmitry Molosh has presided over a stellar career path. Rising rapidly to global prominence from his Belarus home, Dmitry has witnessed a steep upwards trajectory where his music has reached out across nation boundaries, engaging listeners with a distinctive, powerful and forward-thinking sound. Over 500 production credits can thus be credited to the Dmitry Molosh name as he continues to find his musical talents in considerable demand. Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Gai Barone’s Afterglow, Nick Warren’s Hope and Cid Inc.’s Replug have all showcased the Belarusian’s distinctive sound, while US leviathan Proton Music has also featured an array of original and remix material. Supported by the DJ glitterati that include Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Khen, alongside the celebrated label heads, Dmitry Molosh now opens his account on Proportion.

The title track of the same name is a stunning affair. Redolent in the trademark characteristics that have made him such a sought-after producer, a chest-thumping kick anchors a glorious, head-shaking bass groove and woodblock percussion. Ticking hi-hats add to the collage as a beautifully imagined synth motif filters its way across the 8-minute piece. A further bassline adds weight and dynamism before a stripped back breakdown creates a gateway for a rousing crescendo of white-noise and pitched effects. These then pave the way for the sultry bassline cadence and synth line so prominent in the early stages, to work their magic once more in the second half.

Cid Inc. require little introduction to the underground dance faithful. A legendary figure for two decades, the Finnish star has been responsible for entertaining audiences around the world with his immaculately crafted DJ sets while creating some the finest moments in modern electronic music history. Seeing his work featured on legion luminary imprints that includes the likes Lost & Found, Einmusika JEE Productions and Sudbeat Music, the latter saw Dmitry Molosh & Cid Inc. join forces on August 2021’s “Impending Storm” to devastating effect. Cid Inc.’s own Replug label has also been a potent vehicle for his own music while furthering the musical careers of a plethora of other artists who have gone on to become dominant forces in the global dance music arena.

An esteemed music engineer and renowned producer, the Cid Inc. remix of “Proportion” is characterised by an intricate and dynamic percussive groove that propels the track forward. Accompanied by a hypnotic bassline sequence and similarly mesmerising arpeggio, melodic elements for the original ripple to the fore in a sublime atmospheric collage. Smooth pads and white-noise flourishes build before falling away to a spine-tingling drop, as the rhythmic and bassline foundation provide a club-friendly closing section.'

White Isle favourite Tom Pool is a 20-year scene veteran who has headlined everywhere on the island to as far away as D-Edge. Meanwhile, fellow Ibiza-based talent MURJD is a composer, musical artist, videographer and DJ who has played all over the world. He fuses both introverted and extroverted moods and grooves with powerful emotions as he aims to break down borders between people with his music.
 
This stylish contemporary EP opens with the fantastically textural 'Between The Sun And The Moon.' Hefty drums are underpinned by warm bass, with astral melodies and spraying synths all providing storytelling emotion as they unfold. 'Kinetic' is then a brilliantly wonky groove for the after hours with rolling drums and bass, chunky percussion and sweeping pads that add a dramatic sense of scale. It's dark and edgy and a track to really lock into during the small hours of the night.
 
These assured Ibiza artists bring plenty of fresh perspective to this new EP on Stripped Down.

Australian producer Brett Kelso's debut EP on Late Night Music - 'Mothership' - made waves globally back in April 2022, including support from Hernan Cattaneo on his 'Resident' radio show.

We're now proud to present two remixes of the title track from fellow Australians Wolfframm and Kazuki. Wolfframm takes his remix up a notch with an immersive progressive house version that builds to a climatic breakdown, while Kazuki's Close Encounters mix takes the tune to a deep and hypnotic tribal breaks version in 7/8 time.

Cid Inc's Replug Records gets the Spring season underway by welcoming Mike Griego back to the label for a new EP. With a career spanning almost a decade, the Argentinean artist has been responsible for some of progressive music's most memorable creations. From his underground hit ‘Sofia', to the summery melodic concepts of ‘Mocca Sunset' (in collaboration with Stas Drive), Mike has left a long lasting impression on the genre. In addition to forging strong ties with Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, Mike also lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Flow Vinyl. Having made his Replug debut in 2012 with a single and subsequent EP, Mike now makes a long overdue return to the Finnish imprint with ‘Decoy'. 

Spread across three tracks it's the title and showcase piece which gets the journey underway. Warm, dulcet kicks and intricately detailed percussion set the piece in motion, as chugging rhythms and astral motifs slowly surround the framework. Warm bass stabs only add to its widescreen appeal, carving out a meaty groove while vocal fragments add a mysterious air. The second act transfers energy further into the subconscious, as the melodic narrative develops amidst a percussive haze, before tasteful modulation sets up a classy drop and hook heavy finale. 

The EP's second selection ‘Aghori' is more of a cross pollinated creation. Unique and groovy, it showcases an esoteric side of Mike's far reaching studio skills. Sitting in the creative space between house and techno, it's rhythmic affinity becomes infectious as layers of percussion, electric stabs and quirky hooks unite in a hip swinging dance floor jaunt. 

Shifting further into peak time territory the release is rounded out with ‘Forgotten Ninja'. On a backbone of commanding beats comes thumping bass stabs, exotic percussion and an effects storyboard to fully saturate your senses. Subtle shades, vibrant tones and fiery stabs continue to elevate the mood, before segueing nicely into a bridge of harmonic overlays.  Stripping down into a cavernous break this wall of melodic color eventually melts to a haunting sizzle, as the groove drops for a funky final act. 

Long a regular in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Replug label boss Cid Inc, the remainder of 2019 holds much promise for Mike, with the ‘Decoy' collection sitting as one of the spring season's most sought after releases.

Our "Elements" series returns for it's third edition. We've invited four artists that may be familiar to many, as they've been making great strides in their musical progress. Please welcome Julian Nates, Kenan Savrun, SAJAY & Rudra for their Juicebox Music debut appearance.

First up is Julian Nates, an Argentinian artist based in Córdoba. At a young age of just 4 years old, Julian embarked on his musical journey through traditional violin, piano & drum lessons, eventually developing an interest towards electronic music when he reached the age of 23. Honing his skill & style, his music quickly got picked up by Framewerk who gave him his first official release in 2017 on their label - Capital Heaven. Since then, he's had the privilege of having his music released on well respected labels like Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden", Antrim's "Or Two Strangers", Juan Pablo Torrez' "Clubsonica" & Mango's "Mango Alley". Julian gracefully enters into Juicebox Music with 'Entropy', a bouncy low-end groove paired with a memorable melodic riff & interspersed chord stabs.

Kenan Savrun from Ankara (Turkey) is up next. Building his career through the early 2000's, Kenan's DJ sets have gained him incredible local support where he's earned to share the stage with Nick Warren, Cid Inc, GusGus, Budakid & many more. Although he's relatively new to producing music, Kenan has seen world-wide support through his formative releases on Ziger's "Eat My Hat", Tash's "Movement" and Chris Cargo's "If You Wait". Known for creating airy atmospheres, deep grooves & rhythmic melodies, Kenan takes those key characteristics into overdrive while presenting 'Sanguine'.

Hailing from Colombo (Sri Lanka), SAJAY burst into his local scene in 2018 thanks to a vibrant sonic palette that bends the boundaries of contemporary genres. Drawing inspiration from his Sri Lankan roots and his childhood in Kenya, SAJAY's productions have garnered incredible support from renowned artists around the world as well as labels like Tripswitch & Steve Marx' "onedotsixtwo" as well as Mango's "Mango Alley". Sharpening the skills & getting more refined each day, SAJAY's 'Subterranean' is a testament to his growth as a producer, showcasing power & quality through patience & subtlety.

To close the third edition of 'Elements', we've come back home & called in Kolkata (India) based - Rudra. His rise-to-fame came through 'Lakshya', an album that was released on "aboriginal" which displayed his exquisite production & songwriting skills. After being a seasoned producer for nearly a decade, he moved away from his previous sonic-avatar to reinvent himself in a more deeper & melodic space. With a gorgeous release on Madloch's "Future Avenue" to kick-start this new sonic story, which also features a downtempo edit via his Vichitra alias, Rudra's vision seems to be set on the right path. We're thrilled to welcome him to the Juicebox family with his single - 'Vichlit', a perfectly balanced contrast between heavy & dark versus ethereal & cosmic.
