'Opening 2022 by adding new talent to their roster, Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Anaqram to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Russia, the Anaqram duo has achieved measurable success since first emerging in 2020 with a trio of releases via Ruben de Ronde's Statement! imprint. It proved to be an auspicious debut for Moscow residents Anton and Maxim, who had conceptualized the project just a year prior. The duo cast traditional genre blueprints aside and were quickly recognized for a sound that carried the melody and emotion of progressive house, along with the groove-centric rhythms of tech-house and techno. Two years on and Anaqram now finds themselves with an impressive resume, highlighted by releases for Anjunabeats, Freegrant Music, Mango Alley, Songspire and UV, while electronic music icon's Above and Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta and Miss Monique continue to champion their sound. Continuing that upward trajectory as 2022 begins, Anaquam presents their much-anticipated Replug debut entitled 'Conjunction'.

Getting the release underway and sitting as one of Anaqram's most heady productions to date is the title selection 'Conjunction'. Warm beats and a full, rolling groove set the foundation for a narrative of whimsical arps, uniquely tailored percussion and shimmering overlays. Pushing a poignant mood into the break; the duo marries ghostly vocals, warm bass swells and placid pads across the expansive interlude, building emotion with each successive pass as melodies open up, before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and key changing finale.

Rounding out the release are the pulsating grooves and intoxicating atmospheres of 'No Matter'. Mysterious and uplifting throughout, it's a collage of wavy rhythms and fuzzy stabs which captivate leading into the break. Charming vocal phrases and delicate arps further the story as the centrepiece unfolds, bringing with them hopeful moods and transcendent vibes, before a breezy drop puts your senses on high for an emotive conclusion. 

Operating at the peak of their creative powers, Anaqram continues to impress with their Replug debut 'Conjunction'. A two-track showcase which sets the course for what promises to be another stellar year for the Russian duo.'

'Next up for the rising Desert Hearts Black label, is a big single from Darin Epsilon and Galestian. 

Following up his great release with Marc DePulse, Darin makes his return with a charged progressive groove titled “Reset.” This tune is layered with arpeggiated emotion, and just keeps climbing throughout the entire ride. Darin is such a dynamic producer, constantly showing his range, and Reset is another example of his ever expanding work.

This release also carries two exciting remixes, taking Darin and Galestian’s creation even deeper. The first comes from Fur Coat, making his debut on the label, and delivers that signature dark energy. Galestian has previously collaborated with Paul Oakenfold and released alongside Olivier Giacomotto, with music out on labels such as Berlin’s Ritter Butzke Records and Toolroom. Another big artist joins the DHB catalog with a remix, and this one brings the heat.

The second remix, rounding out the release, comes from label heads and founders Marbs & Evan Casey. Moody, melodic, and a journey driven remix taking us through the realms with some beautiful moments and shifts. Another great collab from these two here, and a big release all around for the DH imprint. Release date for this one is November 12, so stay tuned!'

We are very excited to welcome a very famous and talented Egyptian artist on our label, who deliverers 3 outstanding melodic house & techno tracks.

Mohasseb began his music career in the early 2000s and is one of Cairo Jazz Club's main headliners where he has been playing well over a decade. In addition to playing in Pacha Sharm El Sheikh, he has played in Family and Friends and Theatre of Dreams; two of Egypt's biggest festivals. With his fresh take on melodic techno beats, Mohasseb kicked off his international career in Greece in 2015 leading to a series of gigs around the world. His bio includes playing alongside international DJs Adriatique, Denis Horvat, Adana Twins, Claptone, Adam Port and Monolink- to name a few.

For us he made a strong 3 track EP called Walls, that incorporates organic sounds, intriguing synth progressions, grooving basslines, very nice build ups and and melodies.

This EP is a full melodic journey with each song standing out by itself.

Berlin's finest Matchy returns to ICONYC with an absolute classy piece of music entitled 'Iconic People' featuring Heartskin on vocals. The German producer who has been a prominent mainstay in the electronic underground kicks' things off nicely with his original mix of 'Iconic People'. The full-on festival vibes shine through, as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords and Heartskin's vocal sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. Matchy's trademark beat manipulation is prevalent, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for beat loving club crowd or to close a big night out in style. 

Raphael Mader, who has been coming through the ranks at lightspeed, certainly needs no introduction. He created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as their restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we welcome Mattia Pompeo for his debut on the label, the Italian maestro known for his polished sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh – His transcendent touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove. “Sub Rosa” is Dominio’s first compilation album since the beginning of its publishing activity as an independent label at the beginning of this year. It features contributions from a list of both old and new friends of the collective which have performed at some of the different concerts that they have organised over the last two years. “Sub Rosa” is a reflection of Dominio’s strong commitment with their local scene as much as their search for a wider projection through international connections. Ultimately, their goal is to stimulate a dialogue between their particular context and the rest of the world. The presence in this album of a high number of collaborative pieces is, too, a crystallisation of this dialogue. Most of these collaborations were created by correspondence during the 2020 March-August period, and shall provide a sample of the constant appearance, evolution and reshaping of projects around the collective.

The figures displayed in the album cover are the work of the Valencia-based sculptor Claudia Dyboski (IG: @dyboski).
