An impressive and exciting series dating back to July 2019, "Perspectives Around the World" has seen a host of internationally acclaimed artists contribute to the four volumes so far.  Vol. 5 continues to showcase the next generation of rising stars, this time from Europe, Australia, Asia, North and South America.

A trio of rare production talent, Fenix J, Mario Eighta, and Aves Volare have collaborated across the Atlantic Ocean in efficient fashion.  Responsible for Perspectives Digital's 2019 hit "Naïve" alongside Rafael Cerato, Volare now joins forces with the Colombian and Mexican producers.  A loquacious vocal contribution meandering through "Procrastinate" immediately sparks intrigue as a rolling groove and heavy beat supply club anthem status.  Swirling melodies and white-noise risers contribute to the track as a spoken vocal, redolent in delays and reverb providing an instructive tone.  Building with ease throughout, synth stabs and rippling arps cut through the mid-range to provide the perfect vocal accompaniment in a track that waxes and wanes in effortless fashion.

'Following the remarkable international outpouring of love for his latest charity single and music video project Mad World, Israeli DJ, producer and label head HEVI LEVI now readies his second solo project of 2023, with the announcement of his brand new single Moon. The offering is joined by a string of remixes from 2BAnnounced, Amir Telem, Shiku, Ten Walls and TOMBOYZ.

Due for worldwide release on March 24 via his burgeoning Tel Aviv-based imprint Joy Records, Moon marks the fourth and final release of HEVI LEVI’s No Landing Gear series, following the widespread positive response to the first three singles, No Landing Gear, Eris and Dysnomia, back in 2022. A veritable masterclass in modern, progressive techno courtesy of a producer at the very top of his game right now, HEVI LEVI’s intergalactic new offering exudes raw, energetic dynamism across its six-and-a-half-minute duration as he combines pulsating basslines, eerie synth leads and cutting-edge production techniques to deliver one of his finest creations to date. 

Talking about the project, HEVI LEVI commented:

“Moon is one of my favourite tracks of 2023 and the fourth and the last from my 'No Landing Gear' series. It took me quite a while to find the exact sounds I wanted for it, and to synthesize each part, but I’m really pleased with the final product. I'm also happy I’ve had the chance to test it on many dancefloors and see how it really lifts the crowd.”

Accompanying the new single, HEVI LEVI’s band of remixers present five immersive edits on the stirring release, reimagining the cut through the lens of their respective sound palettes. Ten Walls steps up first, presenting an electronica-infused cut that’s brimming with spontaneous, melodic synth hits and crunchy snare timbres. On the flip, 2BAnnounced takes a more underground approach, celebrating techno-oriented drum patterns and old school rave synths.  

Staying true to his progressive house roots, Amir Telem provides us with a deeply organic rework that shines a light on the original’s mesmeric vocal cut. The real magic begins at the break, when the edit’s key features weave through one another above an airy soundscape, setting us up for a heady apex moment. Fellow Tel Aviv-based artist Shiku joins the EP with another thrilling adaptation that’s flush with trademark psychedelic moments and digital warbles, and rounding out the collection, we’re treated to a gritty cut from up-and-comer TOMBOYZ who delivers on bass distortion and cosmic tones. '

With Yolumuz, his second release on Lowbit Records, Tali Muss tastefully combines world instruments and ambitious sound design to create a unique musical mosaic.

On the title track, the musician stays faithful to his Azerbaijani roots, sitting at the crossroads of Western and Eastern influences. The DJ and producer, which has previously held the #1 spot on Beatport’s progressive house hype chart with his 2018 tune “Irreversible”, incorporates oriental drums to the track, which are complimented by the high-flown lead synth. This feeling of union amongst different origins is also accentuated by the interactions between the thick, omnipresent bassline and the joyful organic sounding flute.

On “Yalla” the artist, which has seen his work recognized by heavyweights such as Stan Kolev and Gareth Emery, crafts a hypnotizing melody which rides unto a rollercoaster of tension and release. The song is scattered with ascents and descents of different natures, most notably the long rise which sees the piece stripped and built back-up in a striking crescendo.

As for the remixes, Sonic Union and Hannes Wiehager team up to deliver their first common outing on Lowbit. The remix is a straightforward track with a constant high level of energy complemented by a weaving vocal sample and an evolving lead synth.

Finally, Highjacks, wrap up the release with a remix in tone with its musical identity. Coming off their successful “Venus” EP on Lowbit earlier this year, they construct aerial chords which caress the ears as the ravey bass supports the whole arrangement, proving once more that unlikely associations are a key to generate interesting emotions.
