Release Info: 
'Evolving' was inspired by the theme of escape and connection, like two lanes coming together then diverging, then coming back together. It's Habischman's third release on Dubfire's SCI+TEC but the first one as a collaboration with a vocalist. Habischman discovered Miila Mor through the demo submission on his own app Beatlift, that he's launching to help musicians connect.

The beginning of the song is about the intensity of a connection, wanting to push away from it at the same time as pull away from it, fear being the driving force. As the feeling builds, it becomes more powerful, and harder to separate from, which leads to the point of taking action; running away. The chorus of the song focuses on this very idea, running until the feeling passes. The end of the song is about surrendering to it, realizing that it’s better to take risks in life, to be present to the pain from past experiences, to dissolve it and evolve from it. “Hereafter” the final lyric, is about rebirth, that there is life after the death of something else, and sometimes suffering is a part of our preparation, it’s what makes us human, and it’s what leads us into the next phase. So ultimately, the moral is to notice our fears and give in to our desires in life.

Øostil is back at Renaissance…

This time we find him celebrating his Argenitne roots as he joins forces with Rêverie and Paula OS, who also hail from the South American hotbed. “I am on the road all the time these days,” says Antü, the man behind the Øostil alter-ego, “and I keep hearing all this amazing music, which is exactly how ‘Missing Robot was conceived. It’s no secret Argentina has a vibrant scene (not that I’m biased!), loaded with talent, but the Rêverie guys really impressed me, which is why I wanted to work together. It’s fun to collaborate with emerging talent; in my experience it leads to extremely exciting music.”

True to his word, the resulting track did begin life as an exciting experiment, “We produced it by kicking the digital football back and forth so I could work on it in amongst my touring, but then – once completed - weren’t sure what to do with it!”, he continues, laughing, “It turned out to be an emotive slice of electronica with a real sense of melancholy, the perfect prop for Paula’s beautiful vocal. But it certainly isn’t what you’d call a ‘peak time’ record, though does have sunset and sunrise written all over!”

After much persuading and arm-twisting on the part of Renaissance, who fell in love with ‘Missing Robot’, the team finally agreed to release it as a single and, just like that, the hunt was on for a remixer. “We all knew we had to get this right. We didn’t want to hand the track to just anyone. It had to be an artist who could convert it to 4/4 and drive toward peak time - no easy task!” says Antü.

Step forward Rodriguez Jr., who returns to Renaissance after a stellar live performance at Zamna’s April Edition and, label wise, his remix of Argy’s ‘Power Of Detachment’. Much like that reinterpretation, he delivers summer on a dancefloor. His ‘Missing Robot’ soars, taking Paula’s vocal to greater, goosebump heights.

“I’ve been closely following Øostil for the past five years as he’s been putting out a constant flow of flawless productions. He’s one of the most promising music producers of his generation. So, I was extremely excited to take on Missing Robot, which he produced with Rêverie and Paula OS, and accepted the challenging mission to turn it to a 4/4. The original is such a beautiful piece of art. My intention was to focus on original vocals and chords and emphasize the core emotion as much as possible.” – Rodriguez Jr.

Matador continues his fine run of form in 2023 and is back once again on his RUKUS label with two more potent tech weapons.

This Irishman does it all from stripped back minimal to powerful main room sounds and so is one of the driving forces at the heart of the underground right now. He shows a new look here with two heartfelt and house leaning cuts.

Sol is a silky groove with textured synth leads and fresh drum grooves. Subtle vocals are stitched in and there is cosmic energy to the track that lures you in deep and keeps you there. Luna then takes a more late night approach with lush chords washing over you as the gentle percussion and soothing vocals heighten the mood. It's a tender sound perfect for the more intimate moments.

Once again here Matador serves up fine dance floor heat.

The concept of Ides of March for Manuel and Pietro sees the light for the first time in 2018 in Amsterdam, where they both are based. The Spanish-Italian duo first met in 2016, and soon found out their common interest in electronic music.

They set their international debut with their first EP "XV-III" for UK's label sequence music in 2020, followed by the single "Corpus" on German imprint Club Mood Vibes. They then released the track Dreamwalking for Mexico City's label ARKHAMRA VA in 2022 and their second EP called "Hyperion" in 2023 on the Ibiza & Tulum based Uxoa Dutxa Elite. 

The sound that this duo brings in their DJ sets and productions spaces from progressive house, to electro, to more melodic and melancholic shades of techno, in a blend characterized by the two's personal taste and musical background. 

Their work has so far been supported by international acts such as Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Axel Haube, Wurtz, The Element, Jos & Eli, Alfa Romero, Paco Osuna, Olivier Weiter, Mitch De Klein, Justrice, Fat Cosmoe and Kadosh among others. Their release "Reticent" on Wout Records caught the eye of David Guetta, who inserted the Toxism Remix of the track Reticent among his favourites in heavy rotation. Their last release "All Is Light" has been published on Amsterdam's Click Records, including a remix from the label's boss Lake Avalon himself.

In July 2021, the duo started their event concept series, @synesthesiamusicart where they shared the stage with artists such as Hollt, Beswerda, Mitch De Klein, Kimman and Echonomist. The aim is to keep evolving, blurring the lines of music genres.
