'In August 2020, Kamilo Sanclemente began an exciting new journey "Beyond the Future", ably assisted by Colombian colleague, Dabeat. Now returning to Proton Music with a trio of new tracks and a trio of new collaborators, Sanclemente presents "Beyond the Future, Vol. 2" with remixes from French and Italian legends.

Opening with "Levitation", a powerful beat and machine-gun fire percussion trade blows with a subterranean bass groove and glorious arpeggiated riff that moves from muted to open filter in a smooth sweep. Adding texture through pads, the track, co-produced with Zalvador, evolves into beautifully crafted chords and shimmering emotive energy in the second half.'

As you may or may not know, Collective States (formerly Mongo) are very avid sci-fi fans (so much so it drives us f#*king mad to be honest)! So it’s our great pleasure (or pain depending on which side of the fence you sit on) to attach a cheeky nod to the forthcoming Blade Runner sequel. Taking influence from the 1982 original soundtrack, this track has been pricking up the ears of some of the early recipients including John Digweed (who has featured it on his Transitions show several times recently), Sasha, Kolsch and big High Tide Recordings label supporter, James Zabiela.  

It’s been a great summer for Collective States with both their “Krypton and “Planet Mongo” releases charting highly in Beatport whilst picking up support across the spectrum of dance music from the likes of Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Deadmau5, Jamie Jones, Dubfire, Eats Everything, Sasha, John Digweed, Alan Fitzpatrick, Kaiserdisco and James Zabiela to name but a few. It took no less than 15 years of DJ’ing before Sandeep finally found his way to the studio, resulting in a remix for, and several collaborations with, die Stube Records founder Hollt. Sandeep’s long, deep, progressive and atmospheric sets have paved the way for his first ever solo EP, ‘The Deeper Dreamer’.

The EP kicks off with the story-telling ‘The Deeper Dreamer’, built on a solid foundation of drums, a slightly filtered kick and several dreamy synths and pads. With the delicate and dreamy original fitting for those longer sets in dark basement clubs, Hollt’s reinterpretation has a slightly coarse sound in comparison, yet making it a day-dreamy track for those hazy afternoons.

For Whom The Bells Toll is special collaboration between Sandeep and Australian based cellist Wilma. After having met online, the two artists worked together on this slightly melancholic, deep house an neo-classical music cross-over gem. Listening to the original during the night, the acoustic version will suit any Sunday morning.

The Deeper Dreamer, incl Hollt Remix, is out now on die Stube Records.
