Luca Abayan joins forces with Nightcolours to release his brand new Prisma EP. Comprising two heavyweight original proggers and remixes from Tonaco and Ayan. Prisma is a snarling Prog monster. Stuffed to the brim with aggressive and very moody sound design, floaty ethereal vocals drift effortlessly creating an absolute monster. On remix duties is one of our favourite producers Tonaco. Taking things on a groove tip full of atmosphere and intricate percussion, it’s another winner from Tonaco. Next up is Reset, a driving number sprinkled with delicate melodics and nagging synth lines. It’s another floor focussed destroyer. Bringing a different perspective on remix is Ayan who delivers a bubbling, glitchy wonder with just the right amount of grit.

Planet E are proud to present ‘AW18 Collection’, a 3 track EP from British producer Tom Flynn due September 14th. Drawing upon a broad and learned musical understanding, ‘AW18 Collection’ fuses disparate strands from the worlds of fashion, club culture and sound design to forge a highly atmospheric, singular release.

‘Packard’, the title of which is inspired by parties in the historic Detroit power plant of the same name, establishes an unrelenting energy from the get go. A bouncing kick lays the foundations for rolling synths, unnerving vocal samples and delicate piano refrains to wander. ‘Anna’ is an indulgent nod to the catwalk, marching with intent amidst immersive chords and subtle melodies.

The B side hosts a trippy cut full of interplanetary glitches and melancholic harmonies. Drawing upon hints to the extraterrestrial, ‘Marx’ creates a dizzying swirl with glistening textures.

Carl Craig was sold straight away: “When Tom sent me his demo of ‘Packard’ I knew I wanted to release it on Planet E. The mix of looped electronics with soul of the piano brought me back to when I first heard the post-Disco classic ‘Beyond the Clouds’. I can imagine the kids on The Scene rockin' hard to this.“

'Written and composed by Canadian long-time electronic music activist LEBARON & PHEEK.
They joined forces for the first time in 20 years to compose this little beauty.

Known as a minimal house pioneer in Montreal,  Pheek is definitely unique in his genre. Signed on Richie Hawtin's Minus as well as on Contexterrior and Telegraph, just to name a few. He is the man behind well recognized Archipel Canadian imprint.

On another end, Lebaron released his first album in 2001 entitled "Fishingindeeparea" (Trigger / Warner) in collaboration with Swedish house producer extraordinaire Håkan Lidbo, positioning him among the key figures in the Canadian electronic music industry. He is also part of duo trickster Hoopalaï (Get Physical, Kindisch) with his long time partner in crime Pfreud and trio Thee FFF with Felix Da Housecat.

THE TOYS DO DAT brings a deep and elaborate groove over a infectious weird vocal. Minimal but main room in the same time, this track will without a doubt get the floor moving early or late in the festivities.'
