There are many things that we love about the @apparel-wax releases. Firstly they always arrive with some sort of great fun gift (010 comes with a plectrum), secondly they forego the usual artist adulation to focus solely on the music. There are no divas at work here. And finally the constant renewing and re-imagining of their sound has been a joy across the series. From Vol 1 all the way through to the latest, and sadly the final chapter of Apparel Wax, it's been a constant discovery of new sounds and new musical dimensions.

Thankfully we have the brilliance of Vol 10 to bask in before they head off into the sunset. Our premier today is 010A1 and it's a throbbing slice of deep disco edged house music. Packing an incessant groove of a bassline, floor shaking percussion, hands aloft synth stabs and the coolest of cool guitar licks it's pretty much the perfect underground track. Indeed it's exactly how you would like remember an old friend who you are seeing for the last time before they head off on an endless adventure. 010A1 is vivacious, totally essential and so utterly full of life. Italo piano house legends @don-carlos-official and @stoneinc bring their classic house fusions to @razor-n-tape with a floor-filling four-track EP, 'Montego Bay' - named after the joint alias that they coined in the early '90s.

All four tracks on this EP were also produced 30 years ago, then shelved and forgotten about until a recent connection with Razor-N-Tape inspired Don to dig up their rare vintage. Opening track 'Music All Night' is a pumping house jam pinpointing the golden era for '90s house, a classic throwback to those early days.

Intr0beatz, a turntablist at heart, started off as the beat producer for Icelandic hip-hop group Forgotten Lores in the late '90s. As time passed by, he transitioned from his early hip-hop roots to explore a fusion of chill-out, deep house, funk, and hip-hop in his 2011 release, "Half Time" on Möller Records. This marked a significant shift in his production style, leading him to delve further into house music, drawing inspiration from the jazz, funk, and soul elements that influenced the golden age of hip-hop.

We are thrilled to host his latest release, "The Sounds That Heal"; a collection meticulously crafted tracks to nourish the soul. Each track resonates with emotion, boasting percussion that stands as the epitome of solid house, while instrumentals enrich the experience with genuine sincerity.
