'Mariner + Domingo have become welcome regulars on Particles in the early part of 2021. Hitting the headlines with their "Azimuth" EP in March, the successful duo have been an integral part of the Florida club scene since the early 1990s. Making their collaborative debut for Balkan Connection in July 2020, their partnership has gone on to see music featured on Stellar Fountain, The Purr and Sound Avenue. Also combining the production prowess of Loveclub and the vocal talents of Priest Music Productions, "Lose Control" creates a wonderful journey as it flows from ticking percussive groove, subtle melodic motifs and muted vocal phrasing in the early stages, to a powerful progressive house track in the latter half. Redolent in vocoded effect, the loquacious vocals come fully to the fore at the breakdown before a delicate melody and perfectly matched bassline create a final sequence that draws the track to a stunning conclusion.'

Continuing their ascent through the organic house underground, Mariner + Domingo return to Madloch's Sound Avenue with a new three track showcase. The Belgian imprint has become somewhat of a home base for the talented American duo. A cross section of Mariner + Domingo's most beloved tracks have come courtesy of the long-standing imprint, most notably ‘Le' Carnival', ‘Edenwilde' and ‘Another Life', the latter of which earned play, support and a Beatport chart feature from world class DJ and All Day I Dream boss Lee Burridge. Now as the world looks towards a period of rejuvenation, with dancefloors taking on new levels of satisfaction after an extended silence, Mariner + Domingo charm us once again with three stunning tracks across their latest Sound Avenue vehicle ‘Inertia'.

Already a favourite of organic house trendsetter Tim Green, it is the esoteric sounds of the title selection which lead the release off. Mariner + Domingo continue to perfect their craft here, with an amalgamation of carnival inspired motifs blanketing a rich, well contoured groove and flurries of exotic percussion. Void of any traditional musicality, it's mystical charm might be its strongest suit. Coming to an emotional peak during the interlude, the Florida residents marry indistinct vocals with breezy effects, hopeful pads and harmonic swells for an understated yet poignant peak.

The US artists have an extensive history in electronic music, dating all the way back to the early nineties when the Florida club scene was a central hub for the movement. With a sound that resonates between organic and progressive house, the US duo have re-emerged over the course of 2020. After over a decade, Perry dusted off his gear and rejoined his brother to start writing again. They have quickly climbed the music industry ladder by having several top 10 releases on labels - Songuara, Stellar Fountain, 3rd Avenue, Amulanga, Tale & Tone and a forthcoming EP soon to hit the market on Melody Of The Soul. Together, they continue to DJ and produce quality music and their 30 years of experience in the industry is paying off in the end.
