A fantasy just turned into Reality. It’s being a while since Javier, Jon, Asier, Mikel, Jonathan and Aitor put their minds together and decided to start this adventure. Now after three years from the first Vinyl release, they are putting together a compilation with some highlights inside. Friends and idols like Permanent Vacation, Daniel Bortz, Kasper Bjørke, Ian Pooley, Matthias Vogt, Till Von Sein or one of the owners from the label El_Txef_A do their appearance in this release. Swedish producer Ivan Berggren, aka Paresse, returns to Eskimo Recordings with Meat Robots, an underground house number whose acid bass lines and ricocheting percussion will have even assembly line robots jacking as it builds to a hypnotic conclusion. The track was inspired by Berggren's wrestling with the age-old question of just what we are, simply biological machines running on electrical impulses and chemical reactions, or vessels filled with some ineffable spirit.

 

With releases on labels like Eskimo, Frau Blau and Correspondant, and collaborations with artists such as Titiyo, Paresse's small but perfectly formed discography that's draw upon the sounds of electronica, dub, Italo disco its easy toes why his records have found favour with DJs from across the musical spectrum from Yuksek and Jamie Jones to The Organism and Phillipi & Rodrigo onto the likes of Purple Disco Machine and Ewan Pearson.

Unbelievably, this is Gai's first full solo EP (first of many) having featured on the label with remixes of Kasey Taylor & Chris Meehan's classic - Simplicity back in 2020 and Kasey Taylor's - Mysterious Madness in 2024. The wait is finally over for the release of this EP which has been hammered by everyone you would expect. Lumia & Mixolydyan are two trademark Barone tracks in the Barone nature that we like here at Vapour.

Remix duties on Lumia come from another debutant to the label this year from Argentina as we welcome Mike Griego to the label with a stunning remix of Lumia already being hammered by Alex O'Rion and many more.

Phenomenal Handclap Band is back on Toy Tonics with remixes by Superpitcher & Ray Mang! The New York indie disco crew delivers their third song to the Berlin dancefloor label. Their last 2 Toy Tonics singles, "Judge Not" and "Jail", have already made big waves with heavy rotations in the sets of people like DJ Harvey, Artwork, Gilles Peterson, Keinemusik and many others. Now they are back with another surefire smash: "Remain Silent".
The Phenomenal Handclap Band from New York has been known for a couple of funk-driven releases before, but also for supporting or collaborating with such giants as Bryan Ferry, Marcos Valle and Nile Rodgers & Chic. 
The band, based around multi instrumentalist and producer Daniel Collás, is releasing their new single in advance of a new album on Toy Tonics in 2020. This is just a warm up!
