Just when you think that Jannowitz Records is definitely ready for a specific genre drawer to be put it, we will surprise you. The label's idea has always been to bend boundaries between house, techno and everything in between. So it's only natural to see melodic house heroes Mia Mendi & Rafael Cerato on this newest “1710 EP”. The British Mia Mendi boys recently contributed an outstanding podcast for the well known Jannopod series just a few months ago. You know them from their releases on imprints such as Stil vor Talent, Suah or Lauter Unfug. With “1710” their first real JAW release is a tribute to the state of the art melodic music that has been ruling the Beatport charts throughout 2018 and is the perfect fit for Jannowitz records who has been setting standards in Germany's club culture more and more over the last few months and years. 
The second track on the release is a collaboration with French tech house king Rafael Cerato who is a producer through and through. His works have been featured on Suara, Diynamic and Get Physical - just to name the top of the iceberg. The British-French combo teamed up and worked with what they know best. Mia Mendi's dreamy melodies swirling over Rafael's bumpy tech house beat to create a track that will work at peak time as well as at the after hour. 
For the first remix, Bulgarian DJ and producer Shosho took “1710” and turned it into an even more progressive version of the track. Shosho had his breakthrough as a regular on Metodi Hristov's Set-About label right before getting invited to release on big names sch as Terminal M or Toolroom. He's the perfect addition to the Jannowitz family as some one who's capable of mastering everything from deep tech to proper techno. 
And last but not least we have Time Has Changed's Timid Boy back on the label. Together with his buddy Acumen he remixed Betoko's and Mattia Pompeo's “Gonio” some time ago. His percussive self-named ‘El Robot Galactico' remix resembles perfectly why Jannowitz Records loves to bring artists together who then collaborate and create something special.

'The 9th release of Infinite Depth will be in the name of the Italian producer Recode. Three well shaped originals accompanied by two great remixes by respectively the Italian Alberth and Dutch newcomers Convolute.

'Irreale' is the title track of the EP. It's a track with a catchy melody and interesting arrangement of percussion. It brings a lot of groove with in between the groove lingering breaks, creating impressive moments.

In the remix by Alberth, he replaced the groove for a more atmospheric techno approach. With his typical deep and immersive sound, he managed to create a very suitable remix, which is perfectly in line with the original track.

The third track is called 'Artefatto'. In this track Recode took his groove to an even higher level by letting the percussion and bass communicate in a unique way.

'Sospiro' could be seen as the most optimistic track of the EP. A beautiful melody, which floats fluently through the track, is connected with a matching lead, which are shaping a dazzling ambiance together. 

The remix of 'Sospiro' by Convolute could be seen as driving version of the original track. They took the main idea of the original and surrounded it by some more progressive sounds. To keep the emotion they managed to add a touching synth, which gives the EP a powerful end.'

About the artist
The career of this young musician started in 2003 in a pretty unimposing way. Martin did some Hip Hop and Trip Hop productions and already had some of his output played at the Austrian alternative radio scene. After a few years of engagement as a Drum&Bass producer and dj this talented musician alternated his musical style again and started to produce minimal techno. Soon the first releases followed and different labels all around the globe started to take an interest in Martins music. Today the music of this emerging artist could be categorised between Deep House and Techhouse and already acts as some kind of insiders' tip in the scene.
