Visionary French artist, Ramyen, has spent the paste several years spreading his full-of-life energy around the globe via his Mellow party brand and his immersive production, Casa Luna 360. He debuts on Do Not Sit with 'Mevora', an outstanding primetime track that is an infectious as he is. Time to welcome a new name to the TAU family, as Samer Soltan makes his debut with us. The Belgian producer has made his presence felt over the last year or so with a steady flow of solo cuts, remixes and edits, along with some exemplary DJ mixes. Samer runs his own label, Sanctuary, and he’s recently released with Solomun’s Diynamic. On the 'Hurricane' EP we find Samer flexing his creativity and demonstrating why he’s fast becoming hot property, merging a variety of flavours within his distinct sound.

'Emotions’ takes things into a more introspective space. A dense low end chugs along, while the percussion adds plenty of energy and movement. Hypnotic rhythmic structure captivates us, while the vocal teases in and out as the track builds to a crescendo after a breather midway through. A slow builder where Samer showcases his mastery of subtlety and patient arrangement.

Working together with your countrymen is a basic rule among melodic business bros - we've learned that over the years. As diligent students, we're always striving to adapt ourselves to these standards and actively searching for talents in close geographical proximity. It aint easy, I would say. 

Fortunately, Hungarian Papi @yourrmusic has been around for a long time, and we're more than happy that he teamed up with @sobek1 for two hypnotic dance floor burners. Lets take a look at each of these masterpieces one by one. 

Never Enough 
Beauty work on the synths, charismatic and psychedelic on the details. Its quite close to classical music in some ways, the drama exists, could be an anthem sometime. Perfect fit for transitions in a set or sunrises.

Taking the release-portfolio into account, Rampa built over the last years on Keinemusik, him adding a new EP to the labels catalogue is worth every credit of trust. And this very “Trust” EP is living up to that not only by its name. It certainly offers value for money, considering KM-releases have mostly been two-trackers. There are four cuts on this one, each one following a different approach, making it also a hella versatile record.

It opens with the titeltrack, the floor-mantra within this bunch. A ruminant groove, backed by lifting and dropping notes, launching a catchy synth-figure and adding up synth-layers until all tension drops into a break that’s as curative as a talk therapy. A track that, out of unshakable serenity, unleashes an irresistible energy.

The following “Entropie” comes closest to what could be considered a Rampa classic. Percussive loops that are scooped up with even more banging and clanking – check. Lurking synthbass in the back – check. Vocalsamples with tribal descent – double check. Generally, you’ll find a whole lot of folklore in this rhythm rich affair, that continuously is jazzing up to highest ecstasy levels.

The flipside opens with “Defiled”, led by a prominent synthline, that’s going through various filter highs and lows and gets bludgeoned by some vigorously swung claps. Raw, naked floor material lacking any flourish, that seems to even fire up a jackhammer during the break.

“Headsup” is concluding this set. Triggering the smell of watered sidewalks, lit-up only by flickering neon light, immersed in the depths of delay, this latenight-story finds some redemption and warmth within the glow of its soulful vocal samples.
