'Love or Fear' talks about how we make decisions and how those decisions can be influenced by love or fear. This topic is relevant in our daily lives as we constantly find ourselves making and facing decisions.
We often choose to stay within our comfort zone due to the fear of stepping out of it. Moreover, we tend to believe that our dreams are unattainable, but in reality, it's just a matter of making the decision to pursue them, and in the long run, they can be achieved.
Many times, we consider them mere fantasies, but we must work and overcome our fears to turn those dreams into reality.

The latest release from Clubsonica Records finds Golan Zocher returning to the label for a new single. Born in Colombia but now calling Israel home, Golan Zocher has firmly etched his place in progressive house lore. Following a 2016 debut, the Tel Aviv resident quickly found his place amongst the genre's elite, earning play and support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Guy Mantzur. Releases via Mango Alley, Or Two Strangers, Plattenbank and Proton highlight what has been an eight-year creative swell for this elusive talent. Clubsonica has also been a regular landing spot for Golan, with three originals and two remixes recorded since making his label debut in 2017. Now, following a contribution to the label's Sampler, Vol.3 earlier this year, Golan returns to the Clubsonica with 'Alive', alongside remixes from Will DeKeizer and Dabeat.

Making his label debut with the first interpretation of 'Alive' is Will DeKeizer. Hailing from the USA, Will DeKeizer first emerged in 2021 with the success of 'Karma'. Released via onedotsixtwo and played by Nick Warren, it set the course for what has been a remarkable two-year stretch. Armed with a sound that incorporates dark, hypnotic and melodic elements, Will would go on to showcase his music via Deepwibe Underground, Plattenbank and Sudbeat, while earning the support of genre tastemakers Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Hernan Cattaneo. Now, on the strength of a three-track showcase for Suza records, Will makes his Clubsonica debut with a cosmic take on 'Alive'. Dark rebounding rhythms and warm key changing basslines set the course for snatches of fluttery effects and bright percussive clusters. A gorgeous contrast from the American artist and one which is explored further across an astral break. A haze of trailing effects dominates the cavernous interlude, building tension with each successive pass, before Will's progressive attitude reveals itself during a commanding drop and groove-centric finale.

Tash's Movement Recordings opens the month of September by welcoming Ruben Karapetyan back to the label for a new EP. Born in Armenia but now calling Los Angeles home, Ruben Karapetyan has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. Following a ten-year hiatus, Ruben returned in 2020 to a rousing response via releases courtesy of Movement Recordings. On the strength of his first two singles for the label 'Gignesthai' and 'Hathor', Ruben quickly emerged as a hyped talent in the trend-driven state of progressive house. Releases via Clubsonica, Mango Alley, Univack and more would soon follow, further establishing Ruben as a top tier talent and in demand remixer. Now, following a contribution to The Soundgarden's 'Summer Collection', Ruben returns to his initial home of Movement Recordings with 'Live In The Moment', alongside remixes from Michael Hooker and Dowden.

Destined to be a highlight in Ruben's discography, 'Live In The Moment' lands in impressive fashion and once again shows his craft must be taken to heart. Perfectly sculpted grooves and billowing stabs start the journey on a darker monochrome, before hopeful vocal fragments and emerging atmospheres shift the tone into one of optimism. Ruben's confident club energy continues to grow leading into the break, as emerging melodies reveal a glowing interlude where a dreamlike elegance takes shape. Timely vocals swell and intensify across the poignant centrepiece, elegantly peaking against a backdrop of wailing synths and clustered drums, before getting washed away as one final rush unleashes a groove-centric finale. The companion piece 'Mindful Harmony' follows in equally impressive fashion with galloping beats and grooves setting the course for dubbed out tones and lively percussive arrangements. Orbiting effects add depth and space leading into the break, where deconstructed vocals and creamy melodies create an air of anticipation and emotion, onwards to a thumping conclusion.

First up on the remixes is Michael Hooker who makes his label debut following strong releases for JEE Productions, Mango Alley and his own Re:Sound imprint. Always a creative and club-effective remixer, the Jersey resident takes 'Live In The Moment' into his world of percussive grooves and swing heavy rhythms. Making great use of the vocal elements, along with timely synths and glowing atmospheres, Michael's version not only brings a commanding dance floor presence, but also lands as one of his best remixes to date.

The release concludes with Dowden making his label debut with the lone interpretation of 'Mindful Harmony'. Hailing from Toronto, Canada but currently calling Berlin home, Dowden has been one of his country's premiere progressive house producers for the better part of a decade. Genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo have been steadfast with support, while releases on trendsetting imprints such as Clubsonica, EDGE, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, Meanwhile and John OO Fleming's Joof Recordings have highlighted his discography in recent years. Now, making his Movement Recordings debut in impressive fashion, Dowden delivers a dark and groovy take on 'Mindful Harmony'. While maintaining the elusive spirit of the original, the Canadian artist crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a prophetic journey into a progressive hinterland, where deconstructed vocals, invigorating melodies and orbiting effects surface from their rhythmic architecture, onwards to a peak-time finale.

PREMIERE: Amber Long And Briah - Everything To Nothing (Original Mix) [Modern Agenda]

D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the month of November by showcasing the second and final set of interpretations of Runik's 'Dawn / Dusk' album. Released in September of 2022, the long player was a prime example of the Paraguayan duo's creative attitude, with the thirteen-track affair finding a perfect balance between dance floor minded productions and living room listenability. With the first remix edition landing in April with new interpretations from Digital Mess, Lena Storm, Headkube, Ucros and Blanka Barbara, SLC-6 now completes the two-part project with new renditions from (in order of appearance) Juan Ibañez, Dr Chrispy, Dr Green, Murilo and Amber Long. With thirteen appearances on the label since making his debut in 2019, Argentina's Juan Ibañez returns with a powerful take on 'Mirage' to lead the release off. Presenting the main themes in a traditional progressive context, Juan masterfully marries Mati's soulful vocals with charming melodies and whimsical motifs for a smooth dancefloor journey. Also making a welcome return to the label is Dr Chrispy who remodels 'Dawn' in his own inimitable style. The astronaut and award-winning aeronautical engineer flexes his creative chops here with suitably spaced out interpretation, one which fits nicely alongside some of Deadmau5's finest work. SLC-6 label manager and rising Sri Lankan talent Dr Green also returns following his 'Raksasa' single from August. The Mirissa resident takes 'Waterfalls' into his own enchanting world of chunky grooves, electric rhythms and cross-cultural motifs. Selection four finds newcomer Murilo making his label debut with a spirited take on 'Nebula'. The up and coming talent strips things down - with a tight, punchy framework providing the backbone for percolating arps and warm atmospheric phrasing to work their magic. The release concludes with Canadian artist Amber Long providing the lone interpretation of 'Paradox'. The Modern Agenda boss makes her SLC-6 debut in style with a cosmically correct rendition, complete with a techno inspired framework, orbiting effects and a goosebump worthy top line to round out the release on an emotive note.

Being a pioneer of the electronic scene since 2011, Amber has visited through a myriad of imprints, including Einmusika Recordings, JOOF Recordings, Plattenbank, and many others, founded her label Modern Agenda, as well as the radio show "Rogue". Plus, Amber has already been with us, debuting a remix of "Gods" by Wailey and Ghazi. This time, teaming up with the British duo Echo Babylon, she presents us with her new single "Milk of Paradise".
