About a year on since his first incursion on Stil vor Talent with the acclaimed "Cosmic Silence" EP, Italian-born Berlin-based producer Cioz resurfaces on the label with "Be One Wachaka", the first single taken from his forthcoming debut album, "Supermassive Whole", scheduled for release in late December 2022. Championing a sound tailored for extensive floor communions and soul-balancing introspection altogether, Cioz graces us with a pristine slice of his broad-spectrum explorations, bending intuitively between deep-diving dubs, big-room polyphonies and proper euphoria-inducing rave artillery. 

The lead-single "Wachaka" finds Cioz teaming up with Cape Town's very own Ryan Murgatroyd for a round of all-embracing electronics geared towards pure sense-awakening, floor-sweeping let go. Injecting traditional deep house with a vibrant dose of Afro-influenced templates and spacious cosmic interplays, the track swells with a blazing fire at heart that keeps on sprawling infectiously with each and every bar, inch-perfectly engineered breaks and drops providing the epic drive that'll get your feet off the ground and soul fulfilled wholeheartedly. Starting off to the austere sound of church bells, "B1" swiftly veers off into stealth floor-busting mode with its muted sub-bass onslaughts and cascading bleeps coming out of their thick reverb-shrouded squelch to extend into a more pop-friendly, drum-driven environment. In its second movement, "B1" roars with louder than loud, batucada-inspired drum lines and a relentless, sizzling-hot grit that makes it comfortable across all terrains.

Yeröm returns to ICONYC for a new release, this time around in collaboration with Aves Volare. The duo delivers an absolute classy piece of music entitled 'Hold me Down'. The Belgian and German based duo have been a mainstay in the electronic underground with their meticulous curriculum of musical productions. 

They kick things off nicely with their original mix of 'Hold me Down'. The melancholic moodiness shines through, as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords and vocal sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. Yeröm's trademark beat manipulation is prevalent, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot while Aves wonderful vocal work completes the picture. Perfect for any melodic loving club crowd and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

James Harcourt, who has seen his releases featured on some of the world's best and beloved labels, marks his debut on ICONYC with a classy rendition of 'Hold me Down'. He created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a deep edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as his restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm melodic glow with an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we welcome Four Candles for his debut on the label, the English maestro, fresh off some smashing releases on Bedrock and ICONYC Noir delivers two superb reworks for some peak time madness. Known for his polished sound, he keeps the general structure of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh and upfront – His transcendent touch ups take the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy and energy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, changing the vibe and creating a blanket of energy that wraps around a brilliant driving groove. Superb!

With 'Hold me Down' Yeröm & Aves Volare really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments! Creating a fusion of contemporary Afro Sounds with progressive and captivating melodies, he’s an artist with one foot in the current and one step forward taking a totally fresh direction. Producing since 1998 and spinning a long time before, Darksidevinyl has won over many of his local clubs and events in an international level, Pacha and Privilige in Ibiza as well as being part of the Ministry of Sound network. He excites music lovers and dancers with his special blend of Afro-Melodic to melodic techno sets. With a release schedule that reads like a who’s who of record label royalty for his musical style, it includes Sony Music, MoBlack, Yoshitoshi, Kittball, Selador, Connected Frontline, Monaberry, Go Deeva, Akbal Music and the list goes on so adding his debut release on eVIVE feels like a natural progression. 

Opening the double header, ‘Black Brain’ see’s the producer embrace his love of Afro House delivering a track commanded by flawless percussion. ‘Aziza’ takes a more laid-back melodic approach but don’t underestimate the energy this one brings with it. Percussive patterns work perfectly in unison with Spanish guitar lines and a saxophone that takes the track to new heights. We’re instantly transported to sunsets on the White Isle where the music unites us as one and this is the perfect soundtrack. 

This is the work of a producer who has been perfecting his craft overtime with precision and who consistently delivers with musical excellence. '
