noc:turne’s output has never gone unnoticed at Delayed. Whether mixes or releases, the Belgian producer’s work has always been admired by our team.
The Delayed team is ecstatic to have him back, this time to premiere this beautiful, atmospheric interpretation of Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary.” “Praise” serves as the release’s opener, starting out in an extremely melancholic manner, giving us a taste of what to expect and setting the tone for the remainder of the EP. Prepare to get lost in Noc:turne’s 8-minute odyssey revolving around Giveon’s desolate vocals.
With equal parts downtempo, house, ambient, and trance, noc:turne’s “Humanity” EP showcases the producer’s sophistication, evolution, and ability. After hearing several of his tracks featured in his mixes over the past few months, it’s about time these tracks see the light of day. The EP will be out on May 1, 2022 via noc:turne’s Right Hand Corner Imprint.

Casino Times - Lost

Almost nine years ago, I played my first set for the Maxa family - back then, just a small camp on the beach in Tulum. I traded a DJ set for a few nights in one of their tents right by the ocean… good old days. 

Fast forward to Burning Man 2025 - Maxa has kept every bit of that magic. Playing my set on Wednesday night, right after the rain, felt like the true start of the burn. Grateful to have been surrounded by some of my favorite humans and the incredible Maxa crew, who welcomed us with open arms and made it all feel like home again. This set was definitely one of my absolute highlights of this burn, and I am so happy to share it with you.

From Berlin, to the World

1. Neon Lights: There’s something about hearing great DJs spin their magic that stirs up some kind of spark in you. Inspirations and ideas start to fly around, melodies pop in and out of the spatial auditory bubble around me. This experience was felt after hearing Hernan Cattaneo and Patrice Bäumel doing a splendid back-to-back at Stereo back in November 2023. In that moment of newly-sparked inspirations popped the bass line of Neon Lights, and the rest built into the track that it is now.

2. Trapped: Do you sometimes feel like you can’t escape yourself? “Stuck” with your self? Trapped in your own awareness? And that there’s nothing we can do about it? You want to scream, but scream from what? You want to let go, but let go from what? Pondering endless questions and contemplations feels frustrating, but somehow peaceful at the same time.

3. Meditation: This track is somewhat of a continuation of “Trapped”. From feeling like a bad trip, to grounding oneself. All it takes is bringing your attention back toyour breath as you say “inhale, I breathe in - exhale, I breathe out”.

4. Audacity: This one is a different style from my usual club-focused music. Oftentimes I will have ideas for vocals popping into existence and build a new song from that. I may not always have an idea of where the creative process takes me with that, but I see where it takes me. “Audacity” was one of those productions.

Montréal-based Frenchman Julien Manaud, better know in the musical realm as French Fox, delivers his brand new single exclusively via The Young Proprietor. 'Punch'  is the very first original from the esteemed remixer. Manaud has previously led the band Motel with Jehnny Beth (now of UK band Savages), and was also the guitarist in Montreal band Chinatown.  'Punch' is an awesome and excitable electronic concoction, combining the best of filter disco and french touch sounds.
