SLOWDANCr is an event program and community dedicated to storytelling through black culture. It celebrates the history, human experience and inevitable connection that individuals share through art.  

Pulling from amapiano, gqom, funky, footwork and everything in between, SLOWDANCr's music program encourages reflection and conversation by intertwining its music curation with mixed voice acapellas. These acapellas contain personal messages that create imagery of the memories and emotions tied to the selections; blurring the lines between dance music, poetry and spoken word.
