A collaboration between David Karsten Daniels and Chris D. Walker

Interested in collaboration, criticism, and conversation. Currently most dedicated to making some sort of Afrobeat and/or Congotronics inspired record of songs + jams + programming. Going about this with a 5 man + computers/loopers team including modified electric guitars (to emulate mbiras), re-imagined auxiliary percussion/drumsets (cymbals, bells, trash on drum heads, multiple cymbals mounted atop each other, etc), tiny (tinny) solid state practice amps such as Vox Pathfinder and Fender Frontman, Roland Handsonic, and several delay pedals. Me + my brother Dane, his wife Abbey, friends Kyle Henson and Ben Jousan (and more folks on the way?). All the vocals/lyrics here are very tentative (ie placeholders for the real deal)! Most of what's public here is VERY demo.

In addition to releasing albums for FATCAT RECORDS, I'm always looking to do creative tv/film scoring. My music can be heard in SHOWTIME's United States of Tara, in episode 340 of THIS AMERICAN LIFE, and in the film DEADGIRL which played at Toronto Film Festival in 2008. I also re-imagined/rearranged/remixed a single for the Scottish band FRIGHTENED RABBIT.
