352 Binary Is Setting Us Up

It's about seeing the beauty &  joy in yourself regardless of how other people see you and not letting them get to you. This is the song that I wrote some years back after a week of being harassed online. 

The Joy In Me

This is a song by Stevie Wonder from his 1979 soundtrack called the secret life of plants. This album was a departure from his classic pop music like the song from songs in the Key of life, which was his most commercially successful album. This is my favorite song by Stevie Wonder when it comes to his voice I love how he sounds on his version. Please go take a listen if you don't know the song... 
Of course the song has themes of nature & flower but it also has themes of Greek mythology, particularly Pan who is a Greek god of the wild. To me flowers is of course, soft and feminine and pan being half goat and more rustic is a little bit of the masculine so 
 I wanted to do something that kinda reminds me of a duet between my agile feminine falsetto and the depth and color of my baritone. The arrangement is pretty much the same but I played around with the melody, harmonies, and ad lib my way. I think it gives it a unique sound while honoring the original piece.
