I love this excerpt from a lecture by Alan Watts which I used to create this intro. Unfortunately the original sound quality is not good (at least what I can find). If anyone knows where I can find better quality, please let me know in the comments. I will more than happily pay for it.

Here is a transcript of what he is saying in the intro:

The continuum in which everything occurs is of course, basically what you are. There is what you might call a continuum, a something or other, in which all physical phenomena exist.

And you ignore it, unless in some way or other, you can make it hum. And so practices like performing yoga exercises, or Zen meditations or certain kinds of chemicals can cause your entire sensorium to hum. And this draws your attention to the ground – the background – of everything that you are perceiving which you ordinarily ignore. I think there is going around, an entirely new religion called ‘HUM’. And HUM has no organisation, no hierarchy, no doctrines – only music and ritual.

Just hum!

If anybody asks: “What is it all about?” They’ll say: “Well come and see! Come and hear! Come and hum!”

That would be kind of nice to have something like that. I don’t know wether it exists or not but it ought to.

Giuliano Rodrigues is a renowned Brazilian DJ and music producer, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Dub Techno genre. Born with an innate passion for music, Giuliano channeled his talent and creativity to craft a unique and captivating sound that deeply resonates with genre enthusiasts.

In 2012, Giuliano founded his first digital label, @flowingmovementmusic. Through this label, he not only promoted his own music but also elevated the profile of numerous other artists within the genre. In 2020, amid the pandemic, he launched DUBGIU, followed by Afterdub in 2023 and @dublucid in 2024—all focused on deep tech, deep house, minimal, and, of course, Dub Techno.

Giuliano has also released tracks on @lucidflow, a label founded by @nadjalind and @helmut-ebritsch, also known as @klartraum. The duo has produced remixes of Giuliano’s tracks, showcasing mutual respect and collaboration within the Dub Techno community. Two of Giuliano’s songs were even played at the iconic Burning Man festival. Giuliano also had the opportunity to remix Klartraum's track Manifestation, which has garnered over 60,000 plays on Spotify.

Additionally, Giuliano was featured on the popular YouTube channel GENTLEMAN, which boasts over 400,000 subscribers. In a dedicated video, @gentlemantracks selected ten tracks released by Giuliano under DUBGIU and created a one-hour set featuring his music. The channel also added two of his tracks to its top Spotify playlists.

Giuliano’s music portfolio extends to @superordinate-music, founded by @naetek. He has collaborated with Nae:Tek on several tracks, demonstrating his versatility and ability to synergize with other artists. Most recently, Giuliano released new music on @piranha-siberia, continuing to contribute fresh and innovative sounds to the Dub Techno scene.

Through these platforms and collaborations, Giuliano Rodrigues continues to solidify his reputation as a prolific and influential figure in Dub Techno, constantly pushing the genre's boundaries and connecting with a global audience.

Currently, with countless remixes, singles, compilations, and his entire body of work focused on Dub Techno, Giuliano has centralized all his releases under one label: DUBLUCID.
