While carefully handling their respective careers, postponing then their obvious collaboration, Möd3rn trio's members have capitalized its desire and now deliver its mere substance, in the rightest moment, where, simply, all the distant forces converge.
The six daring, expert hands merge now into a unique entity, unanimously moving within the same effort towards techno music. Of the distinct identities merely remains the ethereal, synthetic essence devoted to the group, and the common musical passion that leads it. The formula is elaborated freely: each one's adjunctions -subtle keys, nervous chords, underground blows, rhythmical uproars- pour into a thick maelstrom, opaque, condensing Detroit's grieving sensibilities as well as last decade's bewildering cacophonies. The potion obtained is irresistible, an ecstatic hybrid, prodigiously actual, that renders all the genre's diversity and dynamism.
Chance intertwined their paths and now the three companions celebrate both the friendship that resulted and the good fortune that has driven it, by improvising live together as one faceless, solid body agitated by the urge of dance and music, composing the material that shall be processed later on to form their eponym label's releases.

A stone thrown, just to watch it fly. A projectile launched for the sole purpose of drawing a ballistic trajectory in the sky.
The Solens arc is what remains after the subtraction of the goal; a simple parabolic curve defined by gravity, impulse and starting angle. No target to hit, no catharsis to wait for, just the beauty of the flight.

The Arc as the purpose, in the form of four variations, constructed from disintegrated melodic textures and dismantled beats. Each sequences are assembled seamlessly into dense, evolving compositions, while keeping their autonomy, and their role in the global dramaturgy.

Pointillist serial loops morph into abrasive rave anthems, broken club rhythms are refitted into uneven patterns, like deconstructivist sound architectures. Industrial techno stompers dissolve into granular sound waves and filtered space pads, before being overtaken by cinematic drums and rising arpeggios.

Solens Arc is Kangding Ray’s fourth Album for raster-noton.

Anaxander’s talent is obvious, he has been producing different types of music and has been releasing on labels like Local Talk or Dame Music. His music if raw yet smooth and has a lot of soul and reminds us of some good old Detroit Techno and House. No exception is his “more about these so called love songs” EP for Quintessentials! Not to forget the great remix from man of the moment Borrowed Identity, another QE buddy (on and off the pitch!).

Josh Wink, the man behind Ovum Recordings, has been a treasured member of the worldwide house and techno community since the early 90s. 

Throughout his long-running career, the American DJ and producer has released four albums and released on labels such as R&amp;S and Strictly Rhythm, the latter providing a home for 1995's acid smasher 'Higher State Of Consciousness'.

Berlin artist Dominique Dillon de Byington aka Dillon released the follow up to her 2011 album 'Silence Kills' back in March and 'The Unknown' once again showcased her intelligent songwriting and beautifully whimsical vocals.

The first single to be taken from 'The Unknown', released via BPitch Control, was 'A Matter Of Time' and the striking piano chords and haunting feel gave listeners an idea of what to expect. Now, the single gets a full remix package.

As well as spellbinding remixes from Anstam, Planningtorock and Monokle, Dillon's track has been edited by none-other than Berghain's resident and techno master Marcel Dettmann and we have the first play.

Parisian techno enfant terrible Mondkopf makes a rare excursion away from his fast rising ‘In Paradisium’ imprint to deliver an EP for Perc Trax, a label that clearly shares Mondkopf’s love for the experimental, the industrial and the distorted.

Across these three tracks the French producer applies an overdriven, fuzz-heavy aesthetic to symphonic broken beat techno. Think Ancient Methods or Perc at their most uncompromising but then expanded in every direction; heavier bass, sharper highs and an orchestral edge that is epic without ever coming across as contrived.

Both ‘No Icons’ and ‘Ruins’ lurch out of the blocks with the trademark jagged Mondkopf rhythms before finishing on horn and choral outros. The former of which has a touch of the pagan, medieval sound last heard across Perc’s own ‘Wicker & Steel’.

Closing off the EP is ’33 000 Bells’ a more experimental piece based around echoing synth hits and reverberating top lines creating a piece that perfect highlights Mondkopf’s ability to seduce with melody as well as brutalise with rhythm.
