This October marks the release of Various Artist EP ‘Collaborations 2’ from Unlock Recordings, featuring tracks from label head Solimano, Bruno De Vincenti, Christian Burkhardt, Barem and Federico Molinari.
Gonzalo Solimano first created the Unlock Recordings imprint back in 2004 as a platform to support Latin American productions, and ever since then the Buenos Aires label has played host to the likes of Guti, Jorge Savoretti and Franco Cinelli. The second instalment in the label’s ‘Collaborations’ series, Solimano now invites German producer Christian Burkhardt to join Argentinian talents Bruno De Vincenti, Oslo Records
artist Federico Molinari and Fun Records founder Barem for a split release. First up is Solimano & Bruno De Vincenti’s cut ‘Love Nebulae’ which layers infectious percussion with gentle chord sequences and filtered effects. Christian Burkhardt’s ‘Doog’ then cuts in on a deeper and darker tip, with a low-slung bass groove and hypnotic pad sequences. Up next is Barem’s ‘Funk Duck’ with its rolling percussion, staggered synths and a pulsating low end, before Federico Molinari rounds off the package with ‘2.014.2’, blending dubby bass patterns, chopped samples and frantic synth spirals.
Various Artists ‘Collaborations 2’ on Unlock Recordings is released as a limited vinyl press this October.

Solid Grooves Records co-founder PAWSA readies his second full release on the label with a remix from Denmark’s Anek.

2016 has been pivotal for Solid Grooves as not only has the event series concluded a highly successful debut season in Ibiza but the imprint has quickly cemented itself as an essential platform for house and techno, fast becoming a favourite for names like Adam Beyer, Huxley, James Zabiela, Nicole Moudaber and Groove Armada whilst dominating the upper end of Beatport’s charts. Alongside Michael Bibi, PAWSA is at the helm of Solid Grooves - a producer known for appearances on Gruuv, MOOD, Relief Records, Do Not Sleep and Lost Records.

From the off ‘Twiple Fwet’ demonstrates PAWSA’s inimitable percussive style before introducing a rumbling bassline and looped vocal sample that’s destined to keep crowds moving. ‘Angel Dust’ then meanders forward using crunchy drums as sporadic beeps and echoing effects add to the heightening tension. Concluding the package, Anek’s remix of ‘Twiple Fwet’ incorporates syncopated percussion, menacing throbs and spacelike effects.

“Footwork House Jam no. 1” on In-Beat-Ween Music is a homage to the global house culture and the eponymous Moscow-based club night in particular. The idea behind this compilation is to provide the fuel for house dance culture and house movement to expand further on, blurring the boarders and eliminating the prejudices of the present times. This is a collection of irresistible swinging beats from some of the world’s top house producers. These tracks will make your body jack!

Claptone is a very unique proposition in modern music. Painted as a mythical character shrouded in mystery, Claptone has become one of the biggest names in electronic music whilst himself remaining in the shadows. He has however constantly saught to deepen his own distinctive world, creating a rich tapestry which tells the Claptone story.

In his second artist album ‘Fantast’, the Claptone universe is at it’s deepest and most vivid. He is the master of his domain and in his most artful offering yet, the assured 13 tracks of Fantast come together to create an album full of varied colours and atmospheric textures. 

So Claptone seeks not to create a world of secrecy, but one of great depth and intrigue. As one of the businest touring DJs and most prificfic producers around, Claptone is constantly unveiling more about the world he draws inspirstion from.  

An enigma with a tirless desire for creativity and thirst for new music, Claptone has brought together a diverse group of collaborators such as Boc Party’s Kele Okereke, Blaenavon, Tender, Jones, Zola Blood, Austra’s Katie Stelmanis, The Boxer Rebellion’s Nathan Nicholson, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Matt Simons  

The first single In The Night features the vocals of Ben Duffy, which paired with Claptone’s insistent and upbeat production, makes for an exquistley executed electronic pop gem. It marks an engaging opening snapshot for what will be a milestone in his already glittering career. 







We caught a glimpse of his ambition to produce a body of work in Claptone’s debut artist album Charmer which has scored over 60million streams and counting, but it’s in Fantast that Claptone really delves deeper into the art of songwirting. 

2018 will see another intense year of touring with Claptone presenting his immersive Masquerade event experience at bigger venues and festivals having built momentum over the last 18 months hosting events at Tomorrowland, Melt Festival, Elrow at Amnesia Ibiza, Green Valley Brazil, Melbourne St Kilda and more.
