I recorded this live mix in October 2020. While hosting a small double date, I sought to capture some of the joyful, fun, BIPOC, queer energy that I desperately yearned for throughout the entirety of 2020: ranging from reggaeton legends like Bad Bunny, hip-hop stars Cardi B and Missy Elliott, and the queer voices of LSDXOXO, India Jordan, and Frank Ocean, this mix, I would like to believe, captures what often goes on in my head. 

For me, 2020 was full of confusing and exclusive highs while also housing dark and deeply concerning lows, missed opportunities, and failed possibilities. This mix is essentially my prayer for BIPOC/Queer people of the future to rest assured that we will continue to stomp the dancefloor one day soon. 

In the immortal words of Rihanna, "we found love in a hopeless place."
