Amethyst Rome is the work of Rose Davis (vocals) and Nathan Donolli (Guitar/piano/bass and background vocals).
The inspiration for the band name 'Amethyst Rome' came from Rose's February birthstone and hometown of Rome, Georgia.
Rose and Nathan met in 2009 during a freshman music theory class at Tulane University. It wasn't until 2011, when Nathan joined the a cappella group that Rose was involved in, that they realized the strength and potential of their working relationship. Nathan then began accompanying Rose at different events. In the year after their 2013 graduation, Rose and Nathan began performing at different venues in New Orleans. They have composed strong original material, and they are excellent at performing unique acoustic covers of songs that were not originally covered in the acoustic style.

I have been a fan of music since I was a kid. I always had a natural attraction to intricate melodies and catchy lyrics. Some of the most notable musicians that have inspired me over the years are: Chris Carrabba, Andrew McMahon, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Paul Simon, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimi Hendrix.

I am a sales professional and currently reside in Arlington, TX. The majority of my time goes to my job and spending time with my wife/daughters/family/friends. With that being said, I am still very passionate about music. I am a self-taught musician, singer, and songwriter focused on creating music that bleeds over into various genres.
