Livy Shears is a 20-year-old folk singer/songwriter born in England who moved to Australia in 2003, after living in Germany and all over England. Living with an Irish mother gave her an upbringing that was always strongly focused on music. Starting piano lessons at the age of 8 and first performing solo that same year, Livy has been singing and performing her whole life. At age 12, Livy decided to broaden her talents by buying her first guitar and learning to play. Drawing on her own experiences and the experiences of those close to her, Livy's songs are deeply emotional and engaging. In her final years of high school Livy chose music to be her main interest and received singing lessons at the Griffith Young Conservatorium to compliment her music extension studies. She is now in her 3rd year studying a Bachelor of Music and QUT and is always working towards growing as an artist.
