Danie is a Mexican American multi – faceted artist. She is a vocalist, musician, producer, & engineer. This powerhouse is sonically infinite and creates primarily by stream of consciousness. She has mastered hypnotizing her audience through her sensuality,while somehow simultaneously emitting the energy of a 70s glam rock star. Her current sound is a thoughtful mixture of Latin Soul, 90’s R&B, topped with retro 60’s sounds all her own. She gained momentum through her previous group “Welfair” who got to perform at Lightning In A Bottle, and was the opening act for Bardo Martinez of Chicano Batman in 2019. She previously lent her background vocals on his 2017 single “Bad Education”.Shortly after was featured on his next single “Summer” and a small Summer tour as his back vocalist shortly followed in 2019.
 
Now making her debut as a solo artist, Danie dropped her first single in October 2020 titled “No Lookin Away”. During the 2020 pandemic she gained social media traction after Korg reposted a photo she originally shared of her using her signature keyboard, the MicroKorg synthesizer. The post caused misogynistic mayhem creating many assumptions of her simply modeling the keyboard, but soon discovered she is an artist in her own right. Danie is currently releasing weekly episodes of her self-filmed and edited docu series on YouTube titled “Idk Why”. The series shows her journey and recording process in Mexico, all leading up to her next single dropping Summer 2021.

Welfair is an R&B/Funk group led by Danielle Espinoza. There are no ‘members’ of the group. “Welfair” is whoever is on the stage and involved. The name is a manipulation of the word which promotes well being, and a “do you“ mentality. Welfair has played festivals like Lightning in a Bottle, Viva! Pomona, and has opened for Bardo Martinez of Chicano Batman. The much anticipated EP "Recreational" is officially out on all digital streaming platforms!
