Cold Blooded is a power pop/indie pop anthem that came out of a moment that felt both ridiculous and real. I had a writing session the same day as a party I wasn’t invited to—thrown by people I once considered friends. I’d known about it for a while, but when the day actually came, it still stung. Instead of spiraling, I brought that energy into the studio, and the song poured out with my co-writers.

Produced by Nico Lapitino, the track is built on gritty, chugging guitars and layered with atmospheric textures. Cold Blooded balances punchy pop-rock energy with space to feel—it captures that blend of empowerment and vulnerability, feeling hurt but choosing to own it with confidence and bite.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever been iced out, betrayed, or underestimated—and came back stronger. A reminder that your time, presence, and loyalty are valuable. And anyone who doesn’t see that? Their loss.

This is a song about my first and only trip to Europe.  It's happy and upbeat.  But perhaps that's not really what it's about.  Maybe it's about those moments that, when we look back, we say are the key moments that were the beginning of all that followed.  There are so many moments to choose from but we select a very few and give them meaning.  
At least that's what I had in mind when I wrote it.

I think there are a LOT of men and women out there who have felt stuck, trapped, empty and alone; even while being right next to someone else.  Someone who for whatever reason can't or won't give you what you need to feel alive.  If they were cheaters or liars, then maybe leaving would be easy. But what if it's someone whose just "broken" and you realize you can't "fix" them, no matter how hard you've tried?  What if that someone doesn't even comprehend what it means to be close, to be emotionally intimate with you without saying or doing something to sabotage things? And when do you call it quits and escape? A year? 5 years? A decade, or how about 13 years?  13 years of knowing the day they they married you, that it was because they thought you were a nice person, maybe someone who could provide, while at the same time, feeling NO PASSION for you, because they are still in love with the GHOST of someone they have promoted to sainthood when they pass away? A person can't compete against ghosts. Or the continuing thoughts and feelings for someone else, while they are right there in front of you.  This song addresses the need to break free when YOU KNOW, in your heart, 100%, that this person will never change, because they CAN'T -- because they're broken.

I write songs.  I'm not a performer any more than I need to be to have my songs heard once in a while. I hope that better musicians than I encounter my songs and decide to play them.  I just write songs to have them exist in the world. If the world likes them then the world can do with them what it will.  All these recordings are demos.  I've tried to make them as musically interesting as I can but they are all awaiting the skilled hand of someone who knows how to make songs shine.
