Hi there, my name’s Daniel.
I'm a professional actor, trained at the University of Cape Town (UCT), and have been in the industry full-time since 2000. As well as acting in, on average, about a dozen tv commercials, tv series and films a year, I also work behind the camera as a studio director, and I have my own professional voice-over booth at home. I began doing voice overs from home in 2014 as an attempt to find a new revenue stream, but it's now become my most reliable source of work as well as my passion.

As a voice performer I’m most often called upon to read as myself, which equates to a naturally warm, deep tone with an anglicised SA accent, which seems to suit overseas clients looking for an ambiguous voice. I do a kick-ass David Attenborough, I’ve played Afrikaans mercenaries, undead lich kings and gruff wizards for computer games, and been the cartoon Rhino for the YouTube series Jungle Beat.

I can sometimes be overly performative, but I’m good with direction and can pull it right down if need be. My turn-around time is quick, my audio quality very good, and I don’t sweat reasonable requests for edits or alternate reads. Well, within reason. 😊.
