Dominique Vleeshouwers (born in 1992) is a Dutch solo percussionist known professionally as DOMNIQ. He is the first percussionist to win the prestigious Dutch Music Prize and the winner of the first prize, as well as the press and the audience prize at the international TROMP Percussion Competition held in Eindhoven in 2014. He is known for his virtuosic percussion skills and out-of-the-box projects.

Bianca Bongers (1987, Breda) studeerde compositie bij Wim Henderickx en Luc van Hove aan het Koninklijk Conservato- rium van Antwerpen en cello bij Monique Heidema aan het Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg. Na de master cello in 2014, behaalde zij in 2017 de master compositie met de 'grootste onderscheiding'. Eerder volgde ze compositielessen bij Daan Manneke en Willem Jeths. Masterclasses volgde ze bij o.a. Wolfgang Rihm, Brian Ferneyhough en Rebecca Saunders.

Bianca werkte samen met musici en ensembles zoals Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (BE), Kugoni Trio (BE), Trio Catch (DE), International Ensemble Modern Academy (DE), Lucerne Festival Alumni (CH), Ensemble Adapter (DE), Trio Estatico (DE/FR), Intercontinental Ensemble en Vincent van Amsterdam, met uitvoeringen tijdens o.a. Gaudeamus Muziekweek, November Music, Lucerne Festival (CH), Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (DE), Kurt Weill Fest (DE), OpenDays Festival (DK), Ultraschall Berlin (DE) en Grachtenfestival. In 2019 werd Bianca namens Gaudeamus Muziekweek gepresenteerd voor een uitwisseling met Korean Composers Association, waar zij de lezing ‘My visual composing’ gaf, met aansluitend uitvoering van haar werk door Wiro Ensemble in het Seoul Arts Centre (KR).

Opnames van haar werk zijn verschenen bij o.a. het label TRPTK van Reiken voor viool, alt saxofoon & piano (2018) en Collage van een Achtvlak voor nonet (2016/19). Haar stuk Surrounded by Air – Appearance II voor fluit, hobo & piano (2018) werd opgenomen door Triotique (BE) en uitgegeven door Etcetera Records in het najaar van 2018. Radiouitzendingen klonken op rbbKultur, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, National Danish Radio ‘DR P2’, Concertzender en NPO Radio 4, waar ze te gast was in het programma VPRO Vrije geluiden van Aad van Nieuwkerk en Pandora’s Late Night gepresenteerd door Beitske de Jong. In 2020 ging Come wide close voor sopraansaxofoon, gespeeld door Andreas Mader (AT) live in première vanuit Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ in Amsterdam uitgezonden door de NTR. In 2021 schreef zij in opdracht van NTR Podium het werk ‘Echo’ voor viool & piano, uitgevoerd door Tosca Opdam en Alexander Ullman, met een live radiopremière in het kader van ‘400 jaar Sweelinck’.
Als celliste speelde ze met ensembles waaronder Insomnio, Lunatree, VONK en L’instant Donné (FR). Haar liefde voor zowel de hedendaagse- als oude muziek kwam tot uiting in haar soloprogramma 'Roots and Remnants' waarmee zij o.a. speelde op festivals Incubate en 'Frisse oren'. Ze werkte samen met componisten als Steve Reich, Michel van der Aa, Merijn Bisschops en Daan Manneke, wiens werk zij veelvuldig uitgevoerd en opgenomen heeft.

Bianca is lid van het genootschap Nederlandse componisten ‘Nieuw Geneco’ en haar werk wordt uitgegeven bij Donemus Publishing.

Renato Penêda was born in Porto, Portugal in 1990 and began his musical studies at the Porto Conservatory of Music at the age of 14, in the class of Jacob Oliveira and Emília Gonçalves. Later, he studied with Jean-François Lézé (Porto Symphony Orchestra Casa da Música) and was admitted in ESMAE - Higher School of Music and Performing Arts (Porto), where he worked with Miquel Bernat, Manuel Campos, Rui Sul Gomes, Fernando Llopis and Nuno Aroso. He went on to study at Codarts Rotterdam (Netherlands) - with Chris Leenders, Hans Leenders, Tatiana Koleva, René Spierings and Murk Jiskoot -, where he concluded his Bachelor's degree in 2015.
 
He has attended several master classes and workshops with renowned percussionists such as Nick Woud, Frank Epstein, Benoît Cambreling, Bogdan Bacanu, Mark Ford, Kuniko Kato, Markus Leoson, Tatiana Koleva, Bruno Costa and Jeffery Davis.
 
He is a member of Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa (Porto) and Orquestra XXI (composed of Portuguese musicians working and/or studying abroad). He collaborates regularly with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and occasionally with the Porto Symphony Orchestra Casa da Música, the Gulbenkian Orchestra (Lisbon, Portugal), the AKOM Ensemble (Rotterdam) and the Camerata Rotterdam.
 
Other past collaborations include the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra (Switzerland), the Residentie Orkest (The Hague, Netherlands) the percussion group Slagwerk Den Haag (The Hague), Tatiana Koleva's Youth Percussion Pool (Netherlands) and several other Portuguese orchestras and ensembles, such as the Portuguese national youth orchestra Momentum Perpetuum, with whom he served as Principal Percussionist in its final years.
 
Renato is a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester since 2015 and of the NJO (Dutch National Youth Orchestra) since 2013. He took part in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Codarts Academy from 2013 to 2015. In the 2012/2013 season, he was a member of the OJSG - Sinfónica de Galicia's Youth Orchestra (A Coruña, Spain).
 
Furthermore, Renato is a founding member of Pulsat Percussion Group, a contemporary percussion ensemble that reached the Semi-Finals of the 2015 International Percussion Competition in Luxembourg. The group's awards include the 2nd prize in Prémio Jovens Músicos 2012, chamber music category – superior level (Portugal) and the 2nd prize in CIMCA 2013 - 3rd International Chamber Music Competition "Cidade de Alcobaça" (Portugal).
 
His professional life has already taken him to concert halls in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Brazil and China.
 
Aside from his musical curriculum, Renato holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto.
