A Bay Area native, Haute Mess (aka Kristen Sunde) began her journey as DJ and promoter in 2011 while hosting San Francisco's wacked-out monthly: Romper Room. Wild experimentation with every genre gave birth to the Haute Mess sound — accessible bass-heavy beats that send hips in motion and spread smiles across dance floors.

Joining the underground party crew Brass Tax in 2012 kicked off a Haute Mess booty-shaking beat parade across the Bay Area— including monthly residencies at Amnesia, Bootie Mash-Up at the DNA Lounge, and billings at super-extravaganzas like Beats for Boobs, Supper of Survivors, Breakfast of Champions, Dirtybird Campout, and LoveBoat. In 2016 she was invited to join the all-female DJ collective Angels of bAss and began weaving her eclectic styles with producing successful philanthropic events benefiting women’s causes.

Whether it’s warming up a discerning audience with nu disco, ramping up a festival with funky tech house, or making hearts a’flutter with sexy breaks at the peak of the night, Haute Mess hits the right note in an array of environments, bringing her dynamic flavors to special events and nightclubs in the Bay Area and beyond.

For Sam Walker and Gavin Royce, the question is the fundamental test of their studio output. Simple as it may sound, for this perfectionist pair it’s anything but. Their innate dance floor intuition, combined with years of experience behind the decks, drives them to create music that isn’t just playable — it’s irresistible.

First introduced by way of New York City's early-aughts dance music scene, Sam Walker and Gavin Royce first teamed up for a remix in 2011. The duo found early success on tastemaker labels like Crosstown Rebels, OFF Recordings, and Moda Black, scoring an Essential New Tune nod from Pete Tong with 2014’s “Sister.”  The indie dance and deep house sounds that informed Walker & Royce’s earliest work soon gave way to something different. Quirky accents and bouncy synths, previously deeper in the mix, leapt to the forefront, backed by a propulsive new energy. The success of their November 2015 “Bright Lights” remix was a clear indication that they were onto something.

In October 2017, Walker & Royce released their debut album Self Help on Dirtybird, which both showcased and expanded upon their now-signature sound. The guys enlisted numerous vocalists, including Green Velvet, Dances With White Girls, and Sophiegrophy, to make Self Help feel like a packed house party – while leaving no doubt about who was hosting.  Self Help was followed by further experimentation and growth. Sam and Gavin have collaborated with Claude Vonstroke, Ardalan, Chris Lake and VNSSA just to name a few as well as remixed Channel Tres, LP Giobbi, The Knocks, Justin Jay, Gorgon City, Mindchatter; and put out music on Relief, Black Book, HotBOi Records and more. Their Rave Grave EP was the inaugural release on Diplo’s house-focused imprint Higher Ground.  Continuing to push boundaries, they have launched their own label Rules Don’t Apply Records, with the ethos just as the name states…No Rules, just good music.

Walker & Royce have spent years honing in on their one-of-a-kind style, meticulously crafting the sounds they want their fans to hear in clubs, at festivals and in their headphones. The result is a cohesive, career-defining body of work that firmly places the duo at the forefront of dance music's future.

California-born artist, producer, and DJ VNSSA has become one of dance music’s most magnetic
forces, fusing house, disco, techno, and a gritty punk edge into a sound that’s unmistakably her own.
What began behind the drum kit in indie bands has evolved into a global, genre-bending project
reshaping club culture from the underground out.
After breakout releases on Dirtybird, Higher Ground, Black Book, and Sweat It Out, VNSSA has
continued to level up with a string of high-impact tracks on Three Six Zero Recordings, including
“Grindhouse” and “Giving You.” Her music has earned major support across Spotify’s Housewerk,
Operator, and Dance Party playlists, as well as Apple Music’s One Mix cementing her as a consistent
tastemaker favorite.
Her recent collaboration with Benson, “Shiny Disco Balls,” exploded across DSPs landing the cover
of Spotify’s Tech House Operator and securing placements across flagship playlists including
Housewerk, New in Dance, Dance Rising, Dance Music Friday, Fresh Dance, Fresh EDM, New Dance
Beats, and New Music Daily. Earlier this year, her standout single “Ring My Bell” with Trixie Mattel hit
viral momentum of its own, earning major playlist support, festival rotation, and fan-fueled traction
across socials, further solidifying VNSSA as one of dance music’s most versatile and in-demand
collaborators.
2025 marked a breakthrough moment: a secret guest appearance at Coachella’s Do LaB as part of
Sara Landry’s Blood Oath, the trailblazing all-female collective pushing the boundaries of heavy club
music. Her collaboration with Walker & Royce, “I Don’t Remember,” has become an international club
weapon, rinsed on festival stages, radio playlists, and peak-time sets worldwide.
When she’s not commanding dance floors, VNSSA hosts Super Creep Radio on Diplo’s Revolution
(Sirius XM) and Insomniac Radio, spotlighting cutting-edge underground artists and showcasing her
ever-evolving sonic world.
This year, VNSSA brings her signature percussive grit and dancefloor magnetism to an even bigger
global stage, with performances at Lightning in a Bottle, Outside Lands, HARD Summer, EDC Las
Vegas, and more.
She is also one half of Girl Math, her newly launched duo with Nala, an electrifying project merging live
vocals, indie dance, analog hardware, and club-ready DJ energy into a raw, punk-femme chaos that’s
already redefining what a back-to-back can be.
