晟 ⏆ SHENG

本名顏晟文。作品跨足實驗聲響/電影/劇場之間，風格遊走在探究真實 (Acoustic) 與虛幻失真(Glitch)的聲音面向中。
曾受邀參與《失聲祭》、《白晝之夜》、《FUTURE VISION LAB》、《日本 橫濱藝術節》、《兩廳院 - 眾聲之所》、《臺灣當代文化實驗場 C-LAB》、《月 津港燈節》、《朱宗慶JPG擊樂實驗室》等現場演出。參與作品如:《消失的 情人節》、《范保德》、《青田街一號 》、《八八》、《孤單在一起》《寂靜 敲門》《不存在的金烏》等, 曾多次提名入圍金馬獎最佳音效及台新藝術獎。
 
現著重於聲音的取樣調變(Resampling, Modulation) 顆粒合成(Granular Synthesis)，融合擬音(Foley)，環境音和田野錄音(Ambience/Field Recording) 加上測試音效和傳統樂器(Test Tone/Traditional Instrument)。企圖呈現出融合 東/⻄方 世界觀的電子音樂場景，藉以創造出屬於未來台灣/世界的電子聲響。

Yan Sheng-Wen (Sheng) was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He is a sound artist, music producer and sound designer whose works crossover between experimental sound, film and theatre.
His works and performances have been presented in many organization and events, including Modernological Urbanscape – French art platform CHRONIQUES, HEIYE 2020 – Nuit Blanche Taiwan, Berlin based platform Salon Oblique, and Lacking Sound Festival, And It Come to Pass – Taipei Fine Art Museum, The Invincible Swiftness of The Golden Crow – Spain’s contemporary dance festival Masdanza, Nordic – Yokohama Dance Collection, Electric Indigo – National Theater & Concert Hall, 30th anniversary event, The Serene Gallery – MoNTUE, A Peacock Made of Light – Giuseppe Castiglione New Media Art Exhibition National Palace Museum, and Audiovisual Praxis – Sonic Anchor 22 CMHK. He also released his first studio album 晟 SHENG (self-titled album) in late 2019.
In addition, Sheng involves in various cross disciplinary projects. Such projects include FUTURE VISION LAB, an immersive dome installation curated by C-Lab and BITMEN, NFT projects initiated by Bitman, Shifting Borders, a VR funeral project by visual artist Huang Wei-Hsuan, and Current/y, by Chen Yi Studio, a 64-channel Live Audio/Visual performance, He also participated in a European tour with Lack Sound Festival, which was well received in England, Germany and Poland.
Sheng's current project combines a variety of elements and techniques, such as granular synthesis, Foley, ambient sound, field recording, test tones, and traditional instruments. In an attempt to create an electronic sound that belongs to future Taiwan.

Dutch DJ and producer duo W&W, formed in 2007, continues to push boundaries with their high-energy fusion of big room, trance, techno, and hard dance. They’ve earned over 12 million monthly Spotify listeners, and have a decade-long presence in DJ Mag’s Top 25. Known for their anthemic festival hits, they perform at the biggest worldwide festivals and have over 20+ million followers across all social media platforms. W&W’s imprint label Rave Culture has become a staple in the modern dance scene, shaping the sound of Mainstage EDM with relentless energy.

Alicia Saldenha's unique sound can be described as funky soul with a twist of island sugar cane. A national of the Caribbean Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, she resides in Japan where she is a rising star in the independent soul music scene. In an environment notoriously difficult for "foreign artists" unsigned to major labels, Saldenha (pronounced sal-day-nya) is breaking down barriers between races, cultures and languages and is performing with top Japanese and international artists. 

In addition to being a vocalist and composer, Alicia Saldenha's resumé includes a long list of experiences - as actress, dancer, scholar and university lecturer, having received a PhD from Kobe University, Japan in Culture and Civilization Studies. 

Alicia Saldenha released her debut solo album of her original songs, "Dance with the Sun," which she co-produced and which was recorded live in the studio in New York City, in June 2012. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Saldenha funded and released the album herself under her label, Jem Adar Music. It is produced by Andrew Felluss of Radian Records. The first single, "Ooh Boy," has been released online, along with a music video by feature-film director, Zak Baney.

Alicia Saldenha is also the featured vocalist on the indigo jam unit album, "Rose," released on September 2nd, 2011 by Basis Records. A successful CD release tour of Japan featured sold-out performances at Billboard Live Osaka. The album spent several weeks in the Billboard Japan Top 100 Chart for Independent Albums. Before this she also performed with the legendary Paul Jackson of Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters.

A humanitarian as well, Alicia Saldenha founded Freedom Fest Japan in 2013 in order to pay tribute to the late Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa, freedom fighter and human rights activist. The festival comprised a string of events held in Kansai, from art exhibitions to live music concerts, all based on the themes of “Peace,” “Freedom” and “Social Justice.”

アリシア・サルデーニャはトリニダード・トバゴ共和国生まれ。カリブの島テイストのファンキー・ソウルという彼女独特の持ち味で日本で人気を獲得してきた。独特のバックグラウンドを持ち、一般的な経歴からかけ離れたアリシアを定義づけたり、ひとつのジャンルにはめることは到底できない。でも、あえて例えるならば、ロバータ・フラック、ミニー・リパートン、リンダ・ルイスらの甘美な声、チャカ・カーン＆ルーファスの生ファンク、エネルギッシュなステージが思い浮かぶだろう。カリプソ、ソカ、レゲエなど母国の文化、クラッシック音楽やオペラへの愛、十代での演劇やミュージカルのキャリア、ヨーロッパでのジャズ、ソウルとの出会い、数カ国語に堪能な語学力というすべてがアリシアの国際的なキャリアと独自のボーカルスタイルにつながっている。

デビュー・ソロ・アルバム『Dance with the Sun』はアリシアのすべての経験とこれまで受けてきた影響がオリジナルの楽曲に凝縮された集大成だ。アリシアは、レコード会社やスポンサーの支援もなく、自らの蓄えをかき集めた資金で単独ニューヨークに赴き、才能あふれるミュージシャンやRadian Recordの著名なプロデューサー、アンドリュー・フェルスと共にレコーディングを行う。収録曲はファンキー・ソウルからファンキー・レゲエまで、その甘美でソウルフルな歌声で命を吹き込んでいる。カーペンターズの「遥かなる影」以外のすべての曲をアリシアが作曲し、共同プロデュースも手がけている。またアルバムからのファースト・シングル『Ooh Boy』プロモーション・ビデオには長編映画監督ザック・バーニーを起用。ロマンティックなレゲエのメロディーにのせた英語と日本語のユニークな歌詞で、ライブではオーディエンスがとても盛り上がる曲だ。

アルバムにはそうそうたるミュージシャンが参加している。フレッド・ウェルズリー、JB's、Groove Collectiveとツアーを行い、グラミー賞にノミネートされたピアニスト兼作曲家であるバーニー・マッコールがキーボード。ギターにはマルチな楽器奏者、作曲家、アレンジャーであるゲイブ・クミンズ。ミシェル・ンデゲオチェロと長年演奏してきたマーク・ケリーがベース。ドラムにはソウル・ウィリアムス、リズ・ライトと共にレコーディング、ツアーを行ったクリス・エドルトン、以前フェラ・クティと活動していたカレタがパーカッション、そして現在ホセ・ジェイムズと精力的にツアーやレコーディングを行う黒田卓也がトランペットを担当。このアルバムは、編集やエフェクトを抑えた作り込みすぎない有機的でダイレクトなサウンドのスタジオライブ収録に仕上がっており、ミュージシャン達は真骨頂を発揮している。
