Haiku #258: high-resolution snowflake / a cobweb / covered in frost

A work in progress / abandonded track from early 2023, finished and remixed June 1st 2023.
This track, I created earlier this year for the same proto-jazz proyect that generated my track for [junto0584](https://soundcloud.com/daniel-diaz/nocturnal-studio-jam-number-2) this was intended to be a jazz-lounge jam, I recorded the electric piano part over a jazz drum loop and a walking upright bass, then decided that I wanted a more lounge/funky beta and grabbed a different loop. I clicked on the wrong loop-file an dI got this weird electro-beat that completely destroyed the track's jazz feel. I tried to re record the bass, with a fretless bass, more soul-funk groovy but it didn't work, it was too hybrid.

So as the track evolved from a jazz jam to...well, this; I decided to tweak a couple of things, mix it and share it with you as my example of Phylogeny.

An unused cue (demo) for a TV series that required a "sophisticated, weird and uncomfortable  slow groove for a detective scene" (producer's call)

Electric bass with nylon strings, Moog synth , Wurlitzer A200 electric piano and trap drums.
I used one of the excellent and swiss-knife-like-handy drum loops performed by Steve Arguelles @plushrecords
with additional cymbals by myself.

recorded nothing and made some music from that. well, recorded the slight hiss of my sound card, then used delay echo distortion reverb chorus and artefacts from noise reduction and tempo change to gradually make it more tonal, icy and crisp.

In some words:
Composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist. Born in Argentina,
I studied music in Buenos Aires, New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Paris.

For 20 years, I developed an important career as a session and backing musician in Argentina and Europe, playing, among other instruments, the bass, touring and recording with many jazz, rock, fusion, world, Latin and tango bands.

At the same time, I worked as an arranger, producer and musical director with many projects and artists in the USA, Argentina and Europe.

From 1992 to 1997, I performed my compositions live with my own band in Buenos Aires and began a solo recording career with the worldwide release of my first album "The Years Alone" on the North American label Green Linnet/Xenophile. On this album I arranged and performed 11 of my songs written between 1986 and 1993. I played most of the instruments, but included guest appearances by some great South American players.

My recording career continued with "Segundo Ciclo" (1997), released worldwide by Timeless Records, and 12 more albums released between 2000 and 2016.

Currently, I work as an on-demand film/TV composer while continuing to play live and produce.
