Chisel

Born in 1982 and raised in small town America. At age 10 I became very familiar with the tech world and just dove right in which would eventually get me here. After high school I met someone and we got married, had a son and then about a year later - the marriage ended. I began writing poetry to try to deal with things that were going on at the time. Ended up getting remarried and took on 3 beautiful kids, which was a big change for my son and I, but a great one! I was fortunate enough to get my poetry published twice in 2005, but then poetry turned into music/songs.

In 2008 Wemix.com seriously change my life regarding music. I entered in "The Undisputed Contest" which had potential to land me a feature on a Ludacris record. In February of 2009 I was chosen top 5 out of 60,000 entries - and we ran a good game, but ultimately didn't land the record. However, I had a pretty good buzz from that, and I got pro tools! This is when I met Kool Cheez from Oakland, California. He stumbled on to one of my records, and as it turns out we both had one called "Empty Spaces". We started working together, and he helped me better develop my writing. We made a lot of music and even released a few things. 

Fast forward to 2020 and I'm still active. I'm in the studio working on new material all the time! I love music, and always have. I'm here for the craft, storytelling, and raw hip-hop. My love for hip-hop comes from respect of the culture, and an intrigue with the technical aspect of it. I'm not dumb, I've done my homework - I'm not a guy that just likes the next trendy thing. Music gets studied around here. Welcome to my page... I hope I can offer something you like!

My Life is an epic adventure! I've had up's and I've had downs. I've been Happy and I've had frowns! Through it all it seems that I always shine! Now it's back to my grind! Music has forever been apart of me from the moment my Mom found out she was pregnant. I have Influence many and have been Inspired by more!
