It's really such a pleasure for me to have one of my favorite producers here as a guest DJ in the mix for some Moments Of Light 'n Darkness. You find his tracks regularly in my sets. I love his way to interpretate dub techno and dark ambient stuff also. He also has a wide range of styles in his background wether more housy stuff or some weird and sonic eighties flavours.
Now he comes with such a deep and ritch dubby set with so much light and energy. 

Here's what he is saying about it personally: "I've been a fan of Kerstin's MLD series for a while so it's a privilege to be asked to contribute a guest mix. It's a selection of faster, harder tracks which is a side of dub techno I think is often overlooked. I wanted it to be hard and funky but always deep, the kind of mix which would be equally suited to a club or headphones environment. Welcome to a brand new chapter of Deep Electronics. The serie brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. This time Cenk Akyol is back with another mixtape with a more  dubtechno / deeper house music to light up your subwoofer :)

About:
'Cenk's attention to music started by hearing his brother playing The Art Of Noise - Moments In Love, in the year 1985. When breakdancing got popular in town they both started collecting electro-funk records accordingly. This goes until 1988 where he heard a new dance craze called New Beat and Acid house, came out from Belgium and the UK. These two turning points fixated his path in dance music. In 1992, luckily he found out tape recordings of the very first Techno Trax compilation series of ZYX Music and aware of this new euphoric dance beats called Techno. His favourite label back then Force Inc Music led him to be aware and enjoy each and every dance music styles. Having a large collection of music in all forms, he has invited to local radio programs to share those unique sounds with other curious minds until the internet era came to our lives. Since 2000, shares his selections from his archive via his web account. Even though never interested in becoming a DJ, he time to time invited to play local venues''

So we had a brilliant weekend in Manchester with the Quadrant Soundscape crew for Dub Explorations, hosting a live set from the wonderful Mike Schommer.   I had the fortune of playing a couple of sets; as part of the warm up and then going in harder later in the night.   here's a redo of my record bag once back home, before putting it all to bed!
