I found this song a long a time ago and was knocked back by the inspiring story of a little girl who stands up to segregation and inspires others to follow. I immediately connected with it's sound and message and felt compelled to make an edit and donate 100% of its earnings to a charity of the correct fit. 
After some digging around i found a great charity here in Scotland which helps minority groups develop their creative talents, education, employability, advocacy and mental health. 

This edit wont be free but it's still only a quid and if you can give a little more I would really appreciate it :)

Down In Mississippi (Kusht 4 Charity Edit) - Mavis Staples

More than thirty years of friendship under the sun and still counting; the Brazilian musical producers Alexandre Lora & Arthur Moraes (AVM) never replaced or forgot their bonding; they withstood the ups and downs, hardships, cross-country moves and other changes over the years. And we cannot resist at all a pact between friends to produce music together for fun. In this case, came into view 'Handpan' and its debut Itapeti Souls EP.

Besides being part of the title, 'Serra do Itapeti' is also the background for their childhood, the uneven terrain of the Brazilian relief called 'Mares de Morros', which extends for thousand hectares of the State of Sao Paulo, including their hometown Atibaia. And since the way producers do music has evolved significantly in the past two decades, curiously the duo leisurely cooked this 5-track EP over two years, mainly due to an unmatched free-time schedule.

After all mentioned before is quietly easy to understand the work's name; 28 minutes long and includes two original tracks — 'Connecting Souls' and 'Itapeti', one rework from Nada's track Passana, and the two tracks remixing 'Itapeti' — one by the psychedelic wizard Yabiru and other as a tribal version. And as the duo's name indicates, this project is purely based on the handpans, instruments that possess a great resonance and through their round, convex shape, their sounds emanate in all directions, filling the minds with vibration and resonance. Throughout its holding the EP shares tranquil, joyful, meditative and mysterious off-limits atmospheres while being driving-mood and here and there adds haunting nuances.  

Hard to define, though easy-listening. Somehow it unfolds delicately outward in sparkling layers of warm construction, solid percussion and unpredictable vocals; there's an underlined hoovering consciousness all over the pieces, putting it under the lens of what's bubbling in their sonic micro universe.

El original sonido de Manu Ela nace en Santiago de Chile, influenciado por el Soul y el hip hop, para luego mezclarse con colores más ambient y ritmos más electrónicos. Más adelante su vida junto a la naturaleza es su gran inspiración e inicia un camino paralelo entre inventora y creadora de letras y melodías y la producción musical, la intervención de ritmos e instrumentos como la flauta y el ukelele, de manera genuina y autodidacta. The album is framed by two contemplative tracks, which are reminiscent of Holger Czukay’s oeuvre. The saxophone in the opening track "The Heath" undulates like an introvert leading voice in a meditation. The long and meticulously crafted ambient outro "Txalaparta" features a spoken word sample by the Basque folk musician Txomin Artola from 1978. The four tracks at the heart of the album are beat driven, percussion-heavy, loaded with synths and random horn samples. "Alo?" sounds like Snakefinger tries to get on a Skype call with Serge Gainsbourg. "Cacti All Over My Head" could well be a Ween instrumental with long arching synth lines over a slowed down bossa nova beat.

Fever is a frivolous album which bursts with exalted charm and guest musicians. This is not another greetings-from-the-lockdown album, but with the obvious reference in the title it’s almost a tongue-in-cheek name about creative obsessions of our times.
It's the debut album by the multi-instrumentalist Y Bülbül who has learned his trade working with various interesting artists and bands in London in the past 10 years. He is also a passionate crate digger and DJ. His own radio show is unerringly titled "Bülbül's Gemüsement Park", which airs on Netil Radio, a community broadcasting station in Hackney.

Bonus fact, Bülbül is the Turkish name for a brown-eared passerine bird, one that's into singing.
