Norwegian born Nils Olav, a vinyl addict since a teenager, began producing music and DJing under the name Nils Noa in his late teens. At only 22 he became the first Norwegian artist to release an Essential Mix, one of the most acclaimed DJ mix platforms of that time. He was the main DJ booker and monthly resident at Oslo’s The Villa for 10 years  - where he booked DJs including DJ Sneak, Dubfire, Guy Gerber and Paul Woolford amongst many others, and has been A&R at Sony Music for the last 6 years.

As Nils’ music taste slowly broadened, and through meetings with musician Chandra Lacombe from Brazil, he found himself immersed in an underground culture of medicine music - musicians who were aligned with deep spiritual values and time spent learning from tribes of the Amazon and teachings from the Central and South Americas, as well a traditions from the Eastern philosophies. In 2018 he started record label Nixi Music, alongside producer multi instrumentalist Txai Fernando. The label is now home to medicine musicians including Curawaka, Ayla Schafer and Chandra Lacombe, amongst others, and has featured remixes from artists including Mose, J.Pool and Steffen Ki.

"Meeting Chandra Lacombe was very special, he had a huge spiritual influence on me. And being around so many master musicians the last years with Nixi Music, I have found so much musical inspiration. They have inspired me to land in a place where my spirituality and music can exist side by side. The last years, it has felt natural to come back to my birth name - Nils Olav - for releasing music. This new musical world I have come into has opened my ears in many ways. and to merge electronic sounds with live performances from skilled musicians feels the most natural thing to do. The first projects I am releasing are remixes for Adrian Freedman, Ayla Schafer and many more be reveiled in the coming year.”

There's only one obvious thing in the sound of Neelix: Relentless forward boost. Exactly how this boost is generated is not obvious at all – which makes it catchy in the most subliminal way possible. The German artist playfully incorporates elements of Progressive Trance, Progressive House and Electro. However, the actual magic of Neelix happens somewhere inbetween those genres. For 10 years already this unique formula made him a crowd-pleaser at a great variety of dance events on all 5 continents, including monumental festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland or Boom.

It's 2005 when Neelix stirs a revolution. His album 'No Way To Leave' fulfills all the expectations of the dance floor – but it does so in the most unexpected way. Within no time, party goers refer to his highly dynamic hybrid style simply as 'Neelix sound'. It's the beginning of a stellar career that keeps building and building – just like a typical Neelix track itself. During the last decade, the music of Neelix has inspired a whole generation of producers, it can be found in the collections of countless DJ, in film productions, and in the catalogues of prestigious labels like for instance SpinTwist Records or Paul Oakenfold’s legendary Perfecto imprint.

Kevin aka Phaxe has gone from a no-name to an international player of the Progressive Trance elite within no time. Dropping his artist name Phaxe in 2007 provokes few, if any, reactions. Only 4 years later he has become a synonym for upper-league party music. Highly acclaimed live sets all around the world, applauded releases, and remixes for some of the scene’s biggest names tell an impressing success story. A story that makes the man from Copenhagen repeatedly being described as a “Progressive Prodigy”.

Looking back, the evolution of Phaxe`s sound is the history of a perfect storm brewing. It starts with excessive party weekends in the late 90s, awakening his interest in electronic music production. First creative steps are taken in front of a Nintendo gaming console. Eventually this new passion leads to a professional audio engineer training in 2006. These 3 stages of Phaxe’s career are still very noticeable today: His music is to-the-floor, playful, and high-quality in terms of sound.

This irresistible mixture is first to be heard in 2007 when a Phaxe track is released on IONO Music. One year later things take off: The title “Swing King” gains euphoric feedback from both party freaks and DJs worldwide. Within no time Phaxe is producing together with artists like Audiomatic, Morten Granau, Vice, Zyce, Flegma and many others. Great compliments are given to him when the still young producer is asked to remix some of his early Progressive Trance idols like Haldolium, Atmos and Symphonix. His long awaited debut album is signed on the prestigious label Iboga.

In addition to his solo activities, Phaxe keeps up a creative dialogue with some other producers - resulting in a great variety of sound and styles. Together with Morten Granau he is known as High & Mighty, delivering deep Progressive House. The name Sinister Silence stands for a mutual project with Dan Hessner and uplifting Progressive Trance. Last but not least there is O.T.B., a collaboration with Martin Daltoft of Vice.

Despite his impressive success story Phaxe always keeps a humorous and friendly attitude which is very noticeable when seeing him on stage. In this very situation his unbroken passion for Progressive Trance rubs off on the audience through vibrant sound waves.
