Again the world is confronted with an extraordinary situation that threatens our peace and the economic status as we know it. Russia declared war to the Ukraine and to every country or ally who would get involved and support the Ukraine.
Today, March the 1st, 2022, we are only a few days in and we don't know how the next few days will turn out and by the time this release goes online everything could have already happened. We certainly hope it plays out for the good, but as of right now it doesn't look that way.
Our prayers go out to the families and people who are living in the territories that are affected by military actions.
War is never a solution, that's what we were taught in school. It made sense when our teachers told us to always remain peaceful and respect one another. But life can be different at times. Things can be far more complicated than we think they can be. But does this judge to start a war? should the attacked people resign and give in on the demands? Or should they stand strong and fight back, just like a wild animal would instinctively to defend its territory and protect its family?
We all want to be the ALLY OF THE GOOD and stand behind those who are allegedly in the right and need our support. But doesn't this affect and flare-up the flames of anger and wrath even more? And where would this end?
Or should we stay silent, remain calm and let the others fight it out? But isn't this cowardly and gutless and we would all end up being slaves of the bullies?
How far does bravery go? How much bravery makes sense and from what point on it is just starry-eyed foolishness?
You see, it's not that simple.
But one thing is for certain, no one wins in times of war. Victory is reserved for those who avoid war and solve problems with diplomacy, competency and reasonable compromise.

Dutch legend Joris Voorn puts a spin on Nicky Elisabeth’s debut release on Anjunadeep, ‘Fading’.

Released in May, Nicky’s ‘Fading’ showcased her soft side, with her airy vocals perfectly complementing her tight and polished production. Now one of Holland’s finest exports, Joris Voorn, brings the track to the dancefloor by adding his signature upbeat energy. The remix has already received a warm reception from fans when Joris featured it in his sets at Canada’s Electric Island festival, and on the Freedom stage at Tomorrowland.

Following a residency at Amsterdam’s De Marktkantine and an appearance at iconic London club Fabric, Nicky has performed at major festivals over the summer including Awakenings, DGTL, and Tomorrowland. She shows no signs of slowing down, and, this autumn, will be appearing on the lineups for Anjunadeep’s label showcases at Amsterdam’s Paradiso and Berlin’s Watergate.

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age: It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.

Mid 2000s his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Followed by the EP “I never sleep”. Tracks came up on labels such as Harem Records, Big & Dirty, Armada, AnjunaDeep or on PinkStar Records next to releases on his homebase label Unreleased Digital.
He’s also known for successful collab productions with Jerome Isma-Ae and Stanley Ross.

Rapidly he gained a big base of fans from all corners of the world, and his agenda got fully booked with DJ gigs on all continents. He made quite a heavy assault on the DJ scene performing on events in front of more than 10’000 people.

Over the years Daniel designed a forward thinking and unique style of house music, which can be described as a mixture of progressive house and techno. But also with an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Therefore his productions regularly fill the top positions of Beatport’s Top 100 chart and are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere.
