The ‘Broken Heart’ EP artwork is a photograph taken by Juan Mora of oceanic manta rays (Mobula birostris) in Revillagigedo National Park, Mexico. A Colombian biologist, UW photographer, and expedition leader, Juan has dedicated his life and work to ocean advocacy. His camera serves as a powerful tool to share his passion and highlight the importance of protecting our planet.

This mission is shared by COBI (Comunidad y Biodiversidad) (@cobi_mx), a Mexican NGO rooted in community and driven by a deep commitment to ocean conservation. By working hand in hand with coastal fishers, advancing sustainable practices, and generating knowledge through participatory science, COBI helps safeguard marine life and the livelihoods that depend on it. Their work is a powerful reminder that when real people on the frontlines lead, conservation becomes not just possible, but enduring.

Making his debut on Purified Records, Swiss DJ and producer Khainz delivers ‘Fall To You’ - a euphoric and emotionally charged vocal cut that blends grit with finesse. Known for his impact on the global techno scene, Khainz brings his distinctive touch to the label with a track that pairs a deep, driving bassline with heady melodic elements and an indie-tinged edge. The ‘Fall To You’ artwork features a photograph taken by Brooke Pyke of large breakers hitting the edge of the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. Brooke is an award-winning marine life photographer from Australia, based on Ningaloo Reef in WA. With a background in diving, she now focuses on ocean, travel, and adventure photography, capturing the beauty of the underwater world since 2014.

Stretching over 260 kilometers, Ningaloo is one of the longest fringing reefs in the world, home to an extraordinary diversity of marine life and vibrant coral ecosystems. Protecting this unique environment is at the heart of the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) (@marineconservation.au), one of the country’s most influential ocean protection groups. Jacob makes his Phobiq debut and kicks off his EP with the haunting title track which twists and turns with hypnotic spoken sword snippets and grinding hats. Things continue in the same vein in his collaboration with DJOKO, as we are introduced to manic claps, percussion galore and Old School stabs. &#8220;MDxx High&#8221; offers a more subliminal approach at first, courtesy of the rubber-band bassline, but then flips everything around and breaks into an ultra-retro synth lead. &#8220;Tribe&#8221; closes up with a firm nod to the roots of this sound, and before we know it we are witnessing an actual siren burst out of nowhere.

Skober is up first with his melodic interpretation of &#8216;Acidatlantic&#8217; while Mario Ochoa takes on &#8216;Bitch is Back&#8217; adding a more sinister approach with menacing synths going through the entire track. 
Matt Sassari is next offering non less than a stomping and swinged-out bass followed by a hypnotical synth and vocal for &#8216;In The Soup&#8217;, and last but not least, Trunkline closes this grandiose EP in his unique style with his aspect of &#8216;Backdoor&#8217;.

Closing this exquisite release is “Elevation” with its stomping rhythm section followed by bumping bass which ensures a flawless ride.

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age: It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.

Mid 2000s his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Followed by the EP “I never sleep”. Tracks came up on labels such as Harem Records, Big & Dirty, Armada, AnjunaDeep or on PinkStar Records next to releases on his homebase label Unreleased Digital.
He’s also known for successful collab productions with Jerome Isma-Ae and Stanley Ross.

Rapidly he gained a big base of fans from all corners of the world, and his agenda got fully booked with DJ gigs on all continents. He made quite a heavy assault on the DJ scene performing on events in front of more than 10’000 people.

Over the years Daniel designed a forward thinking and unique style of house music, which can be described as a mixture of progressive house and techno. But also with an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Therefore his productions regularly fill the top positions of Beatport’s Top 100 chart and are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere.
