Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have done it again, this time with the incredible new track ‘G.Y.P.S.Y.’, co-produced with rising Italian duo Boostedkids (Dany Spada and Frankinelli) and set for world wide release on Smash The House on November 11th.

The single, which originally debuted as part of the official Tomorrowland 2013 After Movie, is a sensational blend of traditional gypsy music, haunting flutes, wind and string instruments which are juxtaposed to perfection against a thundering, driving, sexy-as-hell beat absolutely brimming with funk – guaranteed to bring the biggest of houses crashing down as it powers out of international speaker systems.
 
News of ‘G.Y.P.S.Y.’s imminent release comes just days after the announcement of the pair’s forthcoming collaboration with Borgeous and DVBBS, ‘Stampede’ (due November 18th on Spinnin’ Records), and signals the sheer volume of music set to come out from the Belgian brothers over the coming months. Absolutely prolific inside the studio and out – as their huge rise to the #6 position in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Chart proved only last week – Dimitri and Mike look set to turn the heat up even higher as they focus their attention towards 2014.

DANIEL PORTMAN's dedication to dark and hard driven offbeat bass lines is not a secret at all. His trademark sounds and bass stabs brought him a loyal and big fan base from all over the world. LOVE TO THE BASS is not only the title track of this EP but also the lifestyle Daniel dedicated his lifework to. Crispy bass lines, combined with clicky and hard pounding kick drums are building the base of the track. Some electro saw synth lines bring in an euphoric and uplifting feeling, as well as the detuned synth stabs and catchy vocal lines. "It's all about the bass, big love to the bass!", are you with us? For those who like it more rough and dark, with LOVE TO THE MINIMAL BASS Daniel created the perfect stripped down peak hour weapon that can be dropped in just any kind of EDM DJ set. PERSIAN NIGHTS offers a lot of oriental influences, that Daniel might have caught up during his extended DJ tours through the eastern asian countries. This track offers a slight psy-trance feel with its resonance kick drums and arpeggio bass lines. We are happy to welcome back a long time friend of our label and the family: DANIEL PORTMAN returns to Enormous Tunes after quite a while with this overwhelming 3 track EP. He promised the label team already in autumn 2015 to produce an EP for Enormous Tunes again and since then we were eagerly waiting in front of our mailbox to receive some demos. When we finally got the 4 tracks (1 track is scheduled to be a part of our Ibiza Nights compilation released on May 30) the whole office crew was dancing on the desks and we didn't had to think twice and signed the whole EP. RIJEKA is the principal seaport and the third-largest city in Croatia (after Zagreb and Split), but also the name of this EP and its title track for which Daniel teamed up with our in- house buddy CALIPPO. Together they created the first summer club hit in 2016. The track combines Daniel's signature techno and minimal sounds and Calippo's excessive use of organic instruments and classic house elements. The melodic brass breakdown section goes off like a big stadium anthem and teases with a traditional croatian folk choir chant that leads into the pumping and epic drops. CASA RUMBA also takes a mediterranean house direction. The native vocal raps build the signature here and together with the crispy percussion licks and conga loops they make the track a true summer beach weapon. For the friends of the more techier house music, Daniel produced CAHUENGA. A techno track with dark synth stabs, epic and progressive build ups and super hot drops. A must have EP for all the DJs who want to bring the summer a little closer to their crowd.

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age: It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.

Mid 2000s his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Followed by the EP “I never sleep”. Tracks came up on labels such as Harem Records, Big & Dirty, Armada, AnjunaDeep or on PinkStar Records next to releases on his homebase label Unreleased Digital.
He’s also known for successful collab productions with Jerome Isma-Ae and Stanley Ross.

Rapidly he gained a big base of fans from all corners of the world, and his agenda got fully booked with DJ gigs on all continents. He made quite a heavy assault on the DJ scene performing on events in front of more than 10’000 people.

Over the years Daniel designed a forward thinking and unique style of house music, which can be described as a mixture of progressive house and techno. But also with an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Therefore his productions regularly fill the top positions of Beatport’s Top 100 chart and are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere.
