Up next on Unrilis a collaboration debut EP from Devid Dega and Nico Cabeza under the name of ‘’Darkness’’ which features vocals from Millie Forsberg.

Devid Dega is an Italian Producer & DJ since two decades now, he has a very rich catalog of music released on the likes of Say What?, Tronic, Phobiq, Agile Recordings and  Loose Records to name few.

On the other hands, Nico Cabeza is an Italian Artist as well, based in Berlin and same as Devid, he has shown his love for music since a very young age. Nico has also a very rich & versatile Catalog of records released on the likes of Legend, Gain Records, HE-ART and Renesanz among others.

Both artists have a powerful & driving style of techno which get you move your body in the dancefloor and this is easy to spot on the release they have delivered through the power of sounds of Darkness EP.

Nico Cabeza ‘’ I remember we started to work on this longtime ago, when the track was ongoing I was in Berlin with Millie and I asked her to make some vocals on a track. She was excited to do and after some minutes in a bar, I took a paper and wrote down the lyrics, days after we recorded the vocals and sent them over to Devid in Italy’’.

Nico Cabeza ‘’me and Devid met years ago and we were always looking for doing something together! So this collaboration was something natural’’.

Two pioneering German techno duos come together in the latest release for Second State: Motion Unit’s “My Mind” from 1998, given the remix treatment by label bosses Pan-Pot and served three different ways. 

A big walloping kick, industrial crunch, guttural drones and an assortment of spacey synths over the top bring the “Radar Remix” slamming into the now. It’s densely layered, fast-moving, forever changing gears, and bound to blow the roof off virtual raves around the world this summer. The “Future Remix” is more pared back, percolating gently with breathy vocal effects, a slo-mo drone and squelchy acid lines creating a moody, after-hours vibe. Conjuring trippy scenes from outer space, the “Galactica Remix” closes the release out with an unpredictable patchwork of broken beats, snatches of robotic vocal samples and woozy pads, for less conventional dancefloor moments. 

The My Mind remix package offers three exceptional versions of a classic track that are respectful to the source material while refreshing it with the modern techniques and sounds that Pan-Pot are famous for.

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age: It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.

Mid 2000s his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Followed by the EP “I never sleep”. Tracks came up on labels such as Harem Records, Big & Dirty, Armada, AnjunaDeep or on PinkStar Records next to releases on his homebase label Unreleased Digital.
He’s also known for successful collab productions with Jerome Isma-Ae and Stanley Ross.

Rapidly he gained a big base of fans from all corners of the world, and his agenda got fully booked with DJ gigs on all continents. He made quite a heavy assault on the DJ scene performing on events in front of more than 10’000 people.

Over the years Daniel designed a forward thinking and unique style of house music, which can be described as a mixture of progressive house and techno. But also with an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Therefore his productions regularly fill the top positions of Beatport’s Top 100 chart and are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere.
