"An iconic figure within the underground dance fraternity for over a decade, Rich Curtis makes his Meanwhile debut with an iconic track in the shape of “Square Root (’21 Salute)”.
 
Rich Curtis has been a regular on an array of blue-chip labels over the course of a stellar career which has seen releases on Sudbeat Music, Tulipa Recordings, Proton Music and Replug. Indeed, it was the Cid Inc. owned imprint that Curtis made his 2010 debut with “Square Root”. Now reprising the track with a 2022 makeover, the “(’21 Salute)” is a rich and textured affair that retains all the melodic hallmarks of the original while updating the sound with beautifully woven new motifs and sparking arpeggio. Sounding bright and warm in the spring sun, Rich Curtis has breathed new life into his renowned track.
 
Another artist with an impressive portfolio of music to his name and reputation to match, Alex O’Rion has found his work allied to a host A-list imprints including the likes of Replug, Sudbeat Music and Guy J’s Lost & Found. A regular contributor to Meanwhile with 2021’s “Echium” EP and remixes for GMJ & Matter’s “Gauntlet”, The Dutch master returns to the label with a typically evocative offering. Making beautiful use of Curtis’ original components they are complemented with a slew of additional production material that extends his remix with spine-tingling new melodies that blossom in the breakdown and second half. Con lanzamiento previsto para el 26 de diciembre de 2025 a través del sello italiano Go Deeva Records, CANVI une fuerzas con el productor belga Florist (BE) en “Don’t Say”, un track que se mueve con naturalidad entre el afro house contemporáneo y una narrativa progresiva cargada de tensión emocional.

El tema se articula alrededor de una vocal intensa y expresiva, que actúa como hilo conductor desde los primeros compases, apoyada por una línea de bajo profunda y con carácter. A partir de ahí, “Don’t Say” desarrolla una progresión cuidada y envolvente, donde el groove se va afirmando poco a poco, dejando que la atmósfera gane peso sin necesidad de golpes evidentes.

La producción equilibra energía y sensibilidad. Texturas cálidas, capas armónicas bien medidas y un movimiento rítmico fluido construyen un paisaje sonoro que funciona tanto en contextos de club como en escenarios más abiertos, desde pistas nocturnas hasta sesiones al atardecer. Hay una clara vocación de viaje, con una estructura que invita a dejarse llevar más que a buscar un impacto inmediato.

Antes incluso de su salida oficial, “Don’t Say” ya ha despertado el interés de nombres clave de la escena internacional, con apoyos tempranos de artistas como Keinemusik, Arodes o Peace Control, situando el track como una de las piezas a tener en cuenta en el cierre del año.

Con esta colaboración, CANVI y Florist (BE) firman un corte emocional y efectivo, alineado con la identidad de Go Deeva Records y pensado para resonar en pistas de baile donde la progresión y el detalle marcan la diferencia.

Daniel Portman was born and raised in the suburbs of Zurich, Switzerland. He fell in love with electronic music at a very young age: It was the late 90s, with all its ups and downs, when young Daniel started to test his musical abilities on an Akai2000 sampler and an old sequencer.

Mid 2000s his first EP “Backside / Evolution” was released on Unreleased Digital. Followed by the EP “I never sleep”. Tracks came up on labels such as Harem Records, Big & Dirty, Armada, AnjunaDeep or on PinkStar Records next to releases on his homebase label Unreleased Digital.
He’s also known for successful collab productions with Jerome Isma-Ae and Stanley Ross.

Rapidly he gained a big base of fans from all corners of the world, and his agenda got fully booked with DJ gigs on all continents. He made quite a heavy assault on the DJ scene performing on events in front of more than 10’000 people.

Over the years Daniel designed a forward thinking and unique style of house music, which can be described as a mixture of progressive house and techno. But also with an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Therefore his productions regularly fill the top positions of Beatport’s Top 100 chart and are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere.
